  1. Hi all,

I've had these plates sitting in the back room for a few years now and since i sadly sold the GTR, i may as well sell these also.

One set, both slimline, white writing on black background Vic plates "KYOUKI" which is Japanese for "lethal weapon"

They are brand new and have never been fitted to any vehicle. I've only taken them out of the plastic to look at them and take photos.

They are currently still in the original packaging and will be posted in the original packaging.

    $500 for them.

Contact via text or call 0419893251

    Cheers,

    Ron

  2. Ron, Good luck with the sale, I'm sure whoever gets this will be extremely happy. To me it seems pretty much the perfect street/track set up. Something like this temps me to get back into another Skyline.

G'day Graeme. It's been a while. Thanks for the support on the sale. Feel free to convince the missus to let you buy it!

As Graeme has mentioned, this is a great street/track setup. It is happily driven to the track and then will easily compete and then quite happily drive home again.

  3. some ppl have good experiences with n1 pumps, some bad, but in general these days people use tomei or nitto as theyve been found the be most reliable.

I've had nothing but good experiences with N1 pumps. That being said, this isnt a new rebuild. This build was completed in mid 2008 with receipts to prove it. Since then it has always been maintained/fully serviced every 5000km. I had a complete new build done due to the previous motor rebuild failing a No.2 bearing at 11 months. I still have the bearing on my shelf!

This build was meticulous. Every possible thing was prepared to prevent a repeat failure as compared to the original motor.

I have said build a lot instead of RE-build. As this is a complete brand new motor.

The build alone cost me $30,000+

In saying all of this, I need to sell. I am desperate as I am buying a home for my fiancée and my family. We are sick of renting. This is the biggest step ever taken in our lives.

I don't want to lose my R yet I know I need to take a step back to get a few steps ahead and I can always buy a 35 in the future.

This can be sold with or without a roadworthy. It could be bought solely for the motor for a track car or to fix up a blown motor. It could be bought for a daily as its bloody easy to drive. It could be used purely for a track car. My every intention was to build the ultimate streetable race car.

Ask questions. go for a drive with me if your serious. see what this car is capable of. and make me an offer.

  5. mine "looks" stock!

On my point earlier though. i do, to a point agree with you birds. yet you were thinking along a different path to me. Yes theres more chance that you will get a random check and it sucks getting reamed with bullshite epas even if theres no actual proof and you need to fork out the cash to prove that your car is within the limits.. I can guarantee that my exhaust is no where near it. (changing that soon. im too old for the loud exhaust 24/7!)

Most people (inc police) get sucked into the crap that floats out of media. especially ACA TT. that unfortunately gives all imports a bad name. i can say that yes ive copped a lot of crap from police because of what i drive. yet as i stated in my 1st post, it doesnt matter what import your driving. theres no difference in owning a 32 33 or 34. Thats the only point im making here.

And as for the VT getting pulled over instead of me. If the VT drove off normally and the cop did decide to pull me over, i would have been fine with that. I would have been my usual friendly self and probably gotten away with nothing as i usually behave myself on the roads and im always polite to everyone. The fun stuff is reserved for Sandown

  6. True to a point. But if we are talking about who is more likely to be pulled over if you are both driving the same with say a Skyline vs Camry.. I think we all know the answer :/

Yeah true but thats a different point to what i was making. Im talking about sports car vs sports car such as 32 vs 33 vs 34 vs s15 etc etc. not a daily compared to a high performance vehicle.

A good point here, a cop had a choice of pulling over me in my R32GTR or the VT commodore sitting next to me. The cop chose the VT. Why? because i drove off from the lights sedately where as the VT being the hero he is left a massive burnout and easliy hit 100km'h in the 80.

Which takes me back to where i began. drive within the law and they will leave you alone. Break the law and you will get pulled over.

  7. were those 2 random checks really random?...lol

agreed, drive sensibly and you will be ok....most of the time =)

2 random checks as in checked my tread and looked at the motor. 1 of those checks was from Graeme from this forum and his reasoning is cos its a skyline. he had a good chat to me and was genuinely nice. talked about his car as well.

  8. if u get a R32 you will be pulled over more than if you owned say R34

    true story

me and my mates crusing to one of the meet ups (2) R34's (1) R33 (1) R32

who gets pulled over? the R32 lol

reason from cops mouth: people buy R32's cos they cheap and they mod them and thrash them, the R33 and the R34's are less likley to be moded heaps

    little they know :P

ive owned my 32GTR for almost 5 years now and ive been pulled over a whole of 4 times. 2 random checks. 1 roadworthy. 1 speeding fine.

Drive stupidly and you will be pulled over. it doesnt matter what you drive.

  9. lol! fellas im a bit of a granny driver on the roads. due to being a rescue worker n all. ive seen too much nasty shite out there to wanna have it happen to myself. Yea my motor is awesome but i ran outta money to fix up the suspension etc so i cant exactly implement all the power i have available. bit of a downer huh.... track work FTW!

  10. lol well Trent is a mechanic and i am not so id take his word on that 1. ;)

as soon as i sort out this stupid idiot insurance claim ive got going at the moment and get some extra cash i might come stir you up Trent. i gots a few things i need fixed! lol :D

  11. from memory i think $10-$15 each?? yet that was from autobarn so im sure you could find them cheaper else where. theres a few brands around too. the link was just for an idea on the clamps i have
