  1. Adms15

This thread was to inform people about a different ecu option.

And maybe you should learn to read a little better as I'm getting one for my car.

And I don't think anyone here cares what you and your wanna be dream build would be so pretty please take your negative bs and F off

  2. At the end of the day, if it didn't work, they wouldn't be so successful with it.

And I'm not a salesman for these guys, I've worked with there ecu before, I know a lot of people who use them and prefer them over everything they have tried.

I don't receive any financial gains whatsoever from informing you guys about this, I can however get a few at a discounted price if anyone is interested.

The owner of the company is not fazed if this ecu ends up being big in Australia as he already has a huge customer base.

I mentioned to him about brining it over here not the other way around as I'm going to get one for my R33 [emoji41]

  3. Bluetooth is faster than the first usb that was used to tune?

And really what would be faster to react? A human looking at gauges or a ecu?

All the values you set run from the ecu and are only displayed on the tablet, so I'm missing what the problem for Bluetooth is?

  4. It does seem like a quality ecu but as already said, no tuner experience or support in oz. Until a few make their way here and get some support I can't see many people being interested. Also we are already spoilt with choices of good quality units and some that plug in. Haltech, motec, adaptronic, autronic to name a few. My budget adaptronic has the ability to be plugged into my phone for data monitoring and logging. I use it very rarely although it can be a very handy feature.

    No tuner experience?

If a tuner can't figure out how to tune different types of ecu's then he should look for another job.. It's not magic

  5. Josh the ECU looks pretty cool. If it gets Mac/iOS support down the track I may be handing over my money!

Love the Bluetooth feature, it would be sweet if that expands to tuning in the future and we can ditch the bloody laptop/cables.

I think the reason why they use android is the same reason a lot of companies use android for businesses, is because you can customize and with mac you can't.

And you can adjust everything from the tablet [emoji6]

  6. So,

I lived in Sweden for 8 years and while I was there I built a lot of skylines, supras, evos and subarus etc for a good jap performance workshop.

I met and helped a lot of guys with road and drift cars etc and these ecus are the ducks nuts.

If anyone is chasing a new ecu or a different option have a read!

A lot of guys I dealt with tried haltech, motec etc etc and they all said the maxx ecu is a lot better.

If anyone is interested in getting one let me know.

    Josh

  7. The amp I got was the one in the blue mint box that you can charge. The eclipse box, but they are all a little different, some have bass boost etc but I didn't choose that and with my headphones I certainly don't need it [emoji41]

You won't regret spending $40 on one if you have decent headphones [emoji57]

Through my iPhone if I turned it up near max it would distort a bit, with amp it went crazy loud, too loud to wear and didn't distort at all, much cleaner sound, more instruments can be heard, basically like wearing headphones worth a hell of a lot more.

I have audio technica ath 700 I think they are only about $200 worth

With new cable and amp the quality is up there with $800-$1000 headphones..

    Unfortunately I'm a bit of a audiophile

  8. So I'm thinking about getting rid of my project due to work changes and not enough garage space.

  9. You can use a cold chisel, hit it hard on the side so it marks the head, then hit in the direction to undo, heavy hammer will help [emoji6]

Try just hitting the head of the bolt with a hammer also, it sometimes helps break the seal

Or a good large pair of vice grips

  10. Easiest way to do it is take it out, loosen all bolts , put it back in, rotate housings and core until you find a happy medium, nip up a few on each side, take out, tighten all then bam! Your done [emoji41]

  11. hmmm ill have to look at it again tomorrow and try that line again,

i guess ill have to look at the other one and see if theres a way to get it away from the bolt too

If the exhaust and inlet housings are in the correct positions just loosen the 13-14mm? Bolts around the housings and then you will be able to rotate the center enough to clear the bolt [emoji106]
