  1. Yeah it has the bose 6cd stacker. In addition to all that it has a 7" kenwood gps/dvd player unit with a kenwood dvd player in the glove box replacing the original screen/dvd unit. It SEEMS though I'm not sure that it's not hooked up to the car audio as any audio from it comes out a small speaker on the back of the screen. I'm hoping though that if I can figure out how to make the bose stereo go to the external cd stacker that it might be plugged in, I just can't remember what button to press to do that. If that's the case all I need is a new screen based head unit to go in where the current one is (current one is japanese only, must have been a 3rd party install in Japan). Otherwise I'll just order a grom unit and have that installed and then maybe just put a standalone gps unit where the current screen is. If anyone can help a forgetful git out and remind me how to switch the bose head unit over to the aux stacker input gen that would be great. Stoked for saturday,I haven't been to a car meet/cruise for years.
  2. So Saturday the 26th at 6 or 7? I finally picked up the 350, it's brilliant, like a new car! Just need to sort the stereo.
  3. I'm free most afternoons or evenings. Any time in the next couple weeks is cool.
  4. I'm in the process of buying one, hopefully it will be on the road in my hands by the end of the week, we should sort this out, would be great.
  5. It's too early up To be writing accurately apparently (too late to edit), but it should say nismo labeled wheels front and rear and 5sp auto my manual. Not really related to my post but every time I think about forking out this much money on a nice car and then realise I'm buying an auto I want to throw up (kind of have to, upcoming shoulder operation). But after driving one last night I'm not so disheartened, I'd still WAY prefer a manual but it's still a little fun even with the sequential shifter. Unfortunately there's only one manual 350gt in the whole state and it's got other stuff that I'm not looking for (cool car but purple rims aren't for me), otherwise I could get a 350z but that's an extra $3.5k. The max: Hmmm, makes sense, they put an infinit badge on there at some stage so they must like sticking things on there. Cheers!
  6. First I just to say that this forum is an amazing resource. Over the last few days I've been scouring it to learn all I cash and it's been brilliant for almost every question I've had. I've got one question I couldn't find a specific answer for though. I'm looking at buying a 350gt in the near future and I've narrowed it down to 2 candidates, both premium 2003 models. My Squestion relates to the one I saw and test drove last night. It has an on the rear nismo 18" wheels and a nismo plate on the glovebox, what does this indicate? It's a 5sp manual with what looks like standard brakes and no aero kit and I believe stock exhaust, does this just refer to the wheels or might it have some other nismos parts under the skin as part of a pack I haven't been able to find onfo on? It would seem to be all stock, the only other odd thing I noticed was that it's got an infiniti badge, but that must just be something someone has done themselves huh? Lastly, how highly would you value a complete service history and confirmed milage? The first car that I've mentioned above doesn't have much original documentation and I don't know how many owners it's had, but I would have it inspected by synergy motorsport here in Adelaide that tend to deal with them regularly. The other one I'm looking at has only been imported this year, but 1 Australian owner who put around 5000km on it, brought in by synergy who got it at auction and took care of all the mechanical inspection/servicing including major service 1000 ago with paper records for all that. Also comes with all the original japanese paperwork including japenese de-reg and auction papers as well as old service notes which amongst other things would seem to confirm the fact that it's a genuine 75,000km car. The first car has similar mileage on the clock but I have no proof besides that and may have been wound back and only has sparse australian service history. Would that sort of spotless history be worth an extra $1.5 to $2k to you? They are otherwise identically speced cars but given the complexity of them and the unknowns involved in an import car I'm pretty heavily leaning towards the idea that the complete history and confirmed milage is worth the extra money. It also comes with a transferable aftermarket 5 year warranty, mostly this would be used for electrical faults I assume, that has to be worth something. All up the second car is probably $1500 more but the more I think about it the more I think it might be worth it and that I might well get it back when I sell it since the next buyer will probably feel the same way about solid japenese documentation and service history at a single specialist garage. It has a nice new head unit installed with a screen which is worth a little as well (though the first one has a grom unit), do when you take that off the price I'd be paying around $1250 extra just for all the documents and warranty. I don't know how easy it is to claim under a centennial warranty and it will cost $50 to have it transferred to me but if it's any good then the price difference might be worth it for that alone. If it wasn't at the extreme upper end of my budget (unless my gsxr sells) it would be a no brainer but if you were on a strict budget would you spend the extra cash? Anyhow, I'm probably going to get one or the other so I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of me. Hopefully when I have a bit more info and first hand experience I'll be able to help out rather than just asking questions. Thanks very much in advance!
