Definately +30 Offset
R32 GTR = 16 x 8 +30
R33 GTR = 17 x 9 +30
R34 GTR = 18 x 9 +30

shurly some one must now or has a friend that might?
The PFC Boost contoller doesn't have as many features.
You can't have different boost for each gear like an AVC-R
You can have four different boost settings (with corresponding duty cycle) and switch between them.
Thats it for functionality.

Had been considering one with a bonnet something like the one attached looks like the vent might be a little to far back though not an ideal solution but would do the trick I reckon very interested in any install pics in an bnr32 and/or experiences installing not good to hear they are an awkward fit in the 33 makes me wonder a little but still keen
I found that the intial problem with fitting was that I had an aftermarket intercooler-to-throttle body pipe, stopped the brackets and mounting points lining up. Fits perfectly now I have changed the piping.
Also, If anyone needs an aftermarket air filter to fit the ARC ECR33 airbox the K&N 33-2017 (originally for RX-7) fits perfectly.

Okay, just went and washed the car, and took a VERY close note on what size they are.
Sizes:-
Front: Falken ZIEX ZE326 235/40ZR17
Rear: Falken FK451 265/40ZR17
Don't ask me what the "Z" stands for.
So as for FK451 being a good touring tyre. THEY'RE UTTER SHIT on my car.
And you can't blame my alignment either. I got it aligned 2 weeks ago incase it was out. Which it was. Badly. Stupid previous owners!
I knew you didn't have 265/50's!
-
Looks like you guys worked it out earlier in this thread.
265/50 is too big in diameter, the "50" is the profile of the tyre as a percentage of the width.
265/40 is much closer (very slightly larger) to stock diameter.
265/50's would look like tractor tyres?
-
265/50-17 is the wrong size, put 255/40's or 265/40's on it.

the knock may just be the sensors picking up the ignition noise.
If so, why wouldn't the igntion noise have been picked up previously?
The old sparkplugs looked fine when I took them out, new sparkplugs were required
because I'm going to be pushing 210 rwkw's + on the next tune.
-
I've changed my spark plugs from NGK PFR5A - 11 (as recommended for standard R33 25t)
to BCPR6ES.
Now I'm getting knock in the 20's pulling away from the lights (after changing up from 1st), at only 2k revs or so. Previously only had knock in the low single digits when pottering around.
From the research I've done the specs of the plugs should be fine (as recommended by none other than SK)
I've had a look but is there something I may not have connected up properly after the change?
I didn't check the gaps but then most rely on the gaps to be OK from the factory?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated

It is just the airbox cover/lid, it is the same as cutting the top out of a standard airbox.
-
Look for offset between +30 and +35
-
Looks awesome MrVspec
What about a high mounted brake light?
-
Yes, they are the same
-
It appears to be very similar to a front bar made by Japanese company VARIS.
Theirs also integrates the standard series II indicator/driving lights and includes the grill section. Their kit appears to be slightly more angular than the one pictured however.
-
Nur M-Spec (& V-Spec II) will have N1 turbo's but a regular M-Spec (& V-SpecII) will have the standard R34 turbo's.
-
R33 & R34's have variable intake timing only and yes you can get decent gains by adding an adjustable cam gear on the exhaust side.
Best time to do it is when you need to change cambelt and associated tensioners and do it all at once.
A decent mod for $200.
No point doing it for looks though as it will be behind the cover.
-
Yep, Factory Option for series 2's
The standard body colour grills have the emblem on the bonnet
The balck optional grills have no emblem on the bonnet.
Your car will have had the optional grill fitted at a later date hence the two emblems.

Approx 19kg I believe

Nissan Press Release
August 28, 2000
Skyline and Skyline GT-R Undergo Minor Model Change
Tokyo -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the domestic release of the Skyline following the execution of a minor model change. The Skyline GT-R has also undergone a minor model change and will be released throughout Japan on October 30.
The current generation of the Skyline was developed around the concept of “an authentic sports sedan and coupe that abound with a sensation of stellar performance derived from a thorough pursuit of driving pleasure.” Ever since its release in May 1998, the Skyline has won resounding acclaim for its superlative handling, stability and power performance, among other outstanding attributes.
As part of this minor model change, the exterior styling was reworked especially around the front-end, including the grille and bumper, to create a more refined design. On the inside, a sporty interior ambience has been achieved largely by changing the seat cloth and by adopting aluminium sport pedals, black and silver genuine leather coverings on the steering wheel and shift lever knob, an iridium silver centre console and silver-coloured instrumentation.
In the area of performance, models fitted with the RB25DET turbo engine and the 5-speed manual transmission deliver sportier driving performance. This is partly the result of augmented power performance due to higher engine torque, which has been raised to 363 N-m (37.0 kg-m) at 3200 rpm, up from 343 N-m (35.0 kg-m) at 3200 rpm. Another contributing factor is an enhanced shift feel resulting from shorter shift lever travel and increased shifter stiffness.
Two attractive new body colours, Sparkling Silver Metallic and Dark Metal Blue Metallic, have been added to the body colour selection, and Bay Side Blue Metallic, which was previously adopted for the GT-R and some Coupe grades, is now available on all Skyline models.

Did they tell you why its going to take so long?
The most likely reason is the ORC themselves won't have any until then.
You'll have to wait or get a different product.

Hmm - let me be the first to set a cat amongst the pigeons
It ?may? be just my tune - but I find mine does NOT hold even boost once I hit the max boost setting. The boost line waves all over the place – IE it varies +/- 1psi across the rev range.
Again – I don't know if this is the EBC or not – but that's what I get
I also find it VERY noisy, it rattles/chatters like the clappers. That ?may? also be due to the fact that mine is mounted high on the passenger side fire wall – which makes it very easy to hear from inside the cabin.
To get stable boost you need to have reasonably short hoses to the actuator.
If your's is on the firewall its probably too far away.
If it is installed closer to the turbo(s) ie, the passenger side strut tower, it should control boost better.
(and be quieter)

I just installed mine on the weekend. I got a hks2540 on my R33. At first i set it at 30% and i got a boost reading of abt 0.9 bar. I had to set the duty to the lowest it can go (20% duty) and i get abt 0.75 bar. It just doesn't look right with a low duty. I did the tuning in 2nd gear, i read i should do it with 3 rd gear but too afraid to be doing it on public roads as i got caught trying to tune the boost before. Don't want that happening again (not too good for the wallet)
Just wondering what duty other people have it set and if you got a bigger turbo than stock.
Thanks
What boost do you want to run?
Set the boost you want, go test it. If you don't make your desired boost then increase the duty.
If your max boost reading is over your set boost then decrease the duty.

I dont know if you guy's have seen the bestomotoringvideo.com site but apparently they are not going to be producing any more English dubbed DVD's. They say its due to their videos being all over the net.
