  1. I read somewhere that the motor can benefit from a refresh and I’m sure there’s a how to on a US G35/V35 forum somewhere... I just fixed my stutter with some new blades but have fresh linkages ready to go in just in case. Was really hoping it was one of the two and not the motor! Sounds like you might be unlucky :(

  2. Really neat and nicely packaged. Shame there’s not a lot of room in our engine bays, would make life a little easier!

Is the PCV delete worthwhile? I’d have thought the breathing would be better with it in place?

  3. Hi Gazman2
Did you install those GS10-22-100-150 gas struts to your Stagea? I have those same struts and I'm trying to
put those to my 2001 Stagea 300rx... How did you install those cause I'm having trouble because struts are
so strong ( seems that they might fit if there is a way to pull the strut rod inside couple of centimeters when installing )
Has anyone here actually installed those GS struts to Stagea?? Or are they simply not for Stageas...

I installed them, no issues. Had to prop the boot open with a long bit of 2x4, but otherwise no dramas. I think once it was all off, I attached the boot lid bracket to the strut, then the bracket to the boot lid, then popped the strut on to the D pillar. Took a little bit of force but nothing serious.
  4. All,

I have got a quote for replacement silicone hoses for the hard baked recirc hoses. For both (3-ply polyester reinforced) pipes it will be £45 or $80AUD plus postage from the UK (can probably save by posting to a single contact in Oz). Choice of blue or black. These prices only apply if I can get 20 orders.

If you’re interested please PM me with contact details and colour choice (no payment needed right now) and if I can get enough interest I will place the order.

    Cheers,

    John

  5. After fitment of the following to my M35
    1. Power intake duct
    2. Fujitsubo legalis cat back exhaust
    3. Scotty stainless dump pipe
On a recent trip I got 7.6L/100k. That was cruising down the Princes from Melbs to Bairnsdale (possibly with tail wind!)
    I was running United 100.
Awesome! Had to re-do the calcs a couple of times!
I've done similar economy on highway trips (down to apollo bay for example), not giving it the berries and taking it easy.

I’m really hoping I can achieve close to that once it’s gone in for a few bits. Downpipe and a full service (will replace o2 at same time) and I’m hoping it’ll be less thirsty!
  6. So where are the pics? dyno charts?

When he says just, it was about 5 minutes before he posted ;)
Check out M35 tuners on Facebook, there’s a good post with lots of videos and pics. Not sure how to share the link...
  7. Not an expert by any stretch but in my view... You’d have to block the take off on the intake, and fit a mini filter on the cam cover. Shouldn’t make a huge difference. Might lean things out a tiny bit as your plenum will see some unmetered air when it’s sucking but only off boost.

Question is, why would you not fit it?

  8. From left to right:
    Resonance chamber
    Crankcase vent pipe
    BOV return pipe
You really want to change the silver bit, that’s the restriction. You don’t strictly need anything but the AFM but it’s there for a reason ;)

  9. The challenge would be to fit the collars to one of a pair of similar NM35s and get a third person to drive both and see if they can pick which one has had the collars fitted. Looks good in theory but I am sceptical  about the actual benefits. Happy to be proved wrong as long as someone else is paying!

Everything I’ve read says they’re amazing, but only one way to find out! If I find myself with £500 burning a hole in my pocket I’ll do it.

Just imagine - a wagon that handles slightly better than a wagon!
  10. Coz of speedhunters this morning?

I may have seen that yes... [emoji12] I’ve seen the collars about before but never really taken any notice of them until watching the video. It’s such a simple but perfect idea, and a few other reviews really show the difference. Whether you’d feel it in a barge though? No idea.

As an aside, that shop is just insane.
