  1. I've experienced an AFM failure before, but this time the symptoms are different. Perhaps it could be associated with heat build up since the car has to travel for it to be affected.
  2. Hi guys, Just a problem with my skyline R32. The car starts and runs fine the first set of kilometres, and then all of a sudden the car's engine starts to boggle. Upon acceleration some power is lost and isn't a smooth incline of revs. Idle point is not affected. My best description would be that it kind of sounds like a WRX, with the split punches in the revs. I can turn the car off for a while and back on and it's fine, then after travelling for a bit it happens again. I take it to work every morning and it happens at around the same point in distance of travel every single time. If anyone could give me any kind of sense out of this it would be of much help. Thanks.
  3. I'm using a blitz air pod. There is no gurgling noise in my tank. And i don't think there's black smoke. But i haven't really checked. It could be AFM, since there are irregular idles for a few seconds after the car starts to act up. If so, do i clean out the AFM or replace it? Although my engine overheat icon did light up once, and the car emitted a strange slight burning smell. (since i decided to push it a little) Thanks for your help guys. Ta.
  4. Hey guys, Need a little help distinguishing the problem here. So i was on my way to work when all of a sudden my car starts to die out. It will start and idle ok, but a few kilometres down the track the same thing will happen. I'm thinking it's my fuel pump, since it feels as though it's not getting enough fuel to run. Altinator? Has anyone experience similiar problems? It is a R32 btw. Best regards.
  5. What's up skyliners Would anyone know why my car is idling @ such a high RPM? (1500RPM) It seems to be constant, and it's been like that for a while now. Sometimes the Revs will even bounce, usually when starting up the motor, or coming to a stand still from acceleration. Besides that, the engine seems to be running smoothly. I can even let go of the clutch in gear 1 without having to step on the accelerator, and it won't even stall on me. Was fine until i was thrashing it up and down the street one day. Left it there for half a day then it happened. Tried cleaning the AFM. Same same. Could be a vacuum leak? i highly doubt it. Any suggestions? Cheers. Skyline R32 btw.
  6. Hi, i recently just imported a R32 GTS4 (RB20DET). It's pretty immaculate, doing only 63,000. Although it's an 89 model, the figures don't seem convincing, but once you see the interior and the engine of the car, you'll be amazed of the top condition. Comes with all electric options including climate control, with a front spoiler which you can adjust from the inside. I'm just wondering how much this car is worth? Would anyone know? Thanks.
