  1. What's that all about? I get a pm - prob the same advertisement everyone else has got - yet I can't read it.. lol. eh?
  2. Hey, thanks for the reply. I have new NGK spark plugs (few months old now), AAC valve has been cleaned many of times (it was massively dirty), haven't sprayed the MAF yet but I might try that, 77,000+km so yeah, i'll get a new o2.. I don't get the best gas mileage I don't think.. haven't actually calc'd it up yet. No black soot though, or any black smoke. Every morning on cold start I do get a lot of white smoke though but I don't think thats to do with that. Probably just condensation, goes away after warmed up. The TPS has been messed with and i'm sure its probably not exactly at the right position.. I think its at .45 - .48 with plate closed. Haven't checked if it is in closed loop or not at idle. I'm thinking it might also be the air regulator because even if the aacv wasnt working, and tps is off, maybe timing off a degree or two (the timing light I used didn't line up with the mark so i just made a reference mark where it was and lined up with that.. definately need to get her tuned), shouldn't I be able to adjust the idle above 500rpm? I wish I could see the bolts for the air regulator or a picture so I knew how to remove it, but i'm going to have to try blindly tomorrow. Need to get her fixed. Thanks.
  3. Hi, i'm semi new to these forums. I've been reading them for awhile (before i've had an account) but i've never posted before. I live in the states and I drive a '95 240sx w/ a R33 RB25DET I swapped in. Been driving it since the beginning of September when college started, still haven't put the interior back in. Basically, since day 1, my car has never idled right. It idles at about 500rpm with the idle adjustment screw out max. If I screw it in any, it will stall soon as I let off the throttle. The IACV solenoid pulses at 154.6hz or around there. If I unplug the plug going to the IACV, nothing changes. I have had the idle working once after I messed with getting the stock boost controller wired in and stuff. It worked fine for a day or so, then I screwed in the adjustment screw halfway to 650rpm and it stopped working a few days later. After that I unscrewed it out max again so it wouldn't stall and one day it all of a sudden came back.. idled at 900rpm constant (left it there in fear of it going away if I dropped it down to 650). Worked for a few weeks and then I had to unplug my battery for a few min. Since then, gone (it's been around a month). I'm not quite sure what the problem could be. I've checked so much stuff. I haven't removed the Air Regulator because I can't see where the bolts are. I'm sure if I have to, I can make it happen. I don't think that would be the problem though. Oh yeah, and as far as the glue on the IACV that blocks the spring.. It looks like its cracked a little on one side so maybe it worked itself loose a little and thats why it's not working? If I remove that glue, could I tighten it up? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for me to try, would be much appreciated. It has been months without having a stable idle and snow is just around the corner (30 degree weather makes some nice hard pulls but DAMN its cold). I want to try to get my idle situation fixed before it snows.. no interior = no defroster due to the a/c & motor boxes out.. lol. Dash is held in with 3 screws. Anyways, thanks for any help.
