I'm in the States just outside of Detroit, Michigan and I have an R33 GTS25T. I bought it in January this year with allegedly 123,000 km on it (impulse buy and probably paid too much for it from an importer). I enjoyed it for 5,000km before something in the engine let go in August and it started knocking badly at startup one morning. The oil and filter had lots of copper sheen and a little fleck in it, so I pulled the engine in October. Haven't done much since then but tonight I plan to take apart the bottom end to hopefully find exactly what went wrong. I'm hoping it's just worn bearings and I can get the crank polished and pop in new bearings, but if it's worse than that I'll have to figure out a replacement engine or find someone to rebuild my RB25.
I've been coming to SAU since I bought my car, lots of great info here, and I figured I should register.
