Let me rephrase and say there is a smell of unburnt fuel that i smell if the car is stationery and idling and or when ascending a mountain. I suspect the smell is from the engine area..

my hv30dd is consuming more fuel up to 2.5km per litre in urban driving and also there is a smell of raw fuel of some sort entering into the car. what may be the problem
