  1. Hello I just wanted to see and ask has anyone used DNJ lifters in their engine I needed new lifters and didnt want to go solid and so I bought vg30dett lifters from partsology I do have then in my rb25 right now but I havent started it yet it is a new build that is very close to being done and I just wanted to ask before I starting running it. Parts list if wanted https://partsology.com/products/lash-lifters-infiniti-nissan-j30-300zx-pulsar-nx-87-97-1-6l-3-0l-lif630-4 CP piston manly rods super tech valve spring tomei japan poncams td06-20rx 10cm
  2. The 20rx is on the way hopefully post some dyno sheets soon hoping to get on the dyno in December or January engine is still at machine shop
  3. Ok thx for the info I think I’m going to go with the regular rear turbine on the 20rx with a 10cm housing and if i don’t like the response I might go to a 8cm I would like to run the 25g just cuz it says powered by trust on it but too much lag lol
  4. Thanks for that but I’ve heard that there’s not really a difference on dyno with L2 I seen one where two identical rb20s and the graphs were basically the same as they were running the same psi and same turner
  5. I know there’s a so many turbos that are better but I do like how the old td06s are and how they sound mainly and I’m really going towards the 25g many ppl still use them in Japan and love them
  6. I have a built bottom end semi built head trying to decide between these two and don’t really see any info on the 20rx I’ve seen some videos on them but not really much info. I want to be in the low 400whp range and be responsive I’ve been looking at some dyno sheets for the 25g but I do want the 8cm rear for response and I can’t find any it’s all 10cm. I wanted to see if anyone has some info about the 20rx and could get me to my goals also if anyone has sheets or know if I could run a 25g 8cm and be in the low 400s if not how bad is the lag for 10cm. Ik there’s better turbos for the same price but I’m in it for the sound and td06s are a classic. hks 264 no vct (de block and head) 8.5:1 greddy mani
  7. yea im in the states so finding a wrecked one is kinda hard
  8. well thx for the info gonna start cutting and make it look nice as i can
  9. I got a cube short shifter for my r32 rb20 and I tried to install it and my trans seems to be out of place when I put in the rb20 i thought it looked a bit odd but I paid no attention to it cuz I had the stock shifter. Is there a way to move the trans/engine back if I remember correctly when I was doing the swap the bolt holes seem to be just the right size so it wouldn't. In the cube shifter kit it has a that plate and it won't sit right. I know my car manual swapped not sure if that has to do anything with it. Not sure what cross member I have.
  10. I'm in the states California to be exact my machinist is still looking them over to make sure they are good if they aren't I'll let u know.
  11. I was going to but I really don’t think I need that for 450hp
  12. Idk I really do trust my current machinist he’s built Ryan litterals rb but besides that I ended up buying a rb25det head took the valves and sold the core to one of the machinist customers
  13. Yea your right but my machinist told me that Nissan and most Hondas have very good valves and are better then some aftermarket I trust him cuz he builds a lot of high hp engines
  14. Hello recently took off my head r32 rb25de before a first start because there was metal shavings still in the head. I had a shop machine the head and didn't do it right I had my machinist that I trust disassembled it and looked it over. He found that the other shop painted the insides of the head and did a valve job that doesn't even seal. So in short I need new OEM rb25det valves so he can machine them to seal cuz if he were to machine the current ones they would be too thin. Even if you only have one set Ex or IN Ill buy. They have to be oem not machined or ground.
  15. This was my first skyline I used to have a e36 m3 and getting this engine I did have to do some research about a couple things but not too much.
  16. yea I know most people don't really build these so.
  17. On the Kelford and other spring website it says rb25(with NVCS) and they specifically have springs for rb20/rb25de(nonVCT) I went with the super tech valve spring kit for rb20. I believe the ones on supertech are for rb25de are for r33 rb25s with vct
  18. Hello I had pulled the head off the rb25de from an r32 to check if oil was getting to the head and my buddy told me that these heads tend to float valves around 400whp so I decided that since the head was off again to get upgraded valve springs. I've read on another post that it would take rb20 valve springs but can anyone confirm? I'm going to be going with the super tech valve spring kit with retainers. They have a kit for rb20 and 25.
  19. I took off the head and turned it over an no oil was coming out so I drilled it out to 1.5mm with grease so no shaving got in I turned it over again and it was the same as the video then I took some compressed air and sprayed it down to hole to see if something was stuck and then turned it over again which is the video just wondering if this is enough oil for the head? 20. that's what I was thinking gonna prime it again tomorrow and if I don't see oil well guess I get the take the head off
  21. I wanted to make this post before I start my new built rb25 I have turned over the engine for about 5min and made oil pressure in the first 30sec 5.8bar or around 80psi and I was happy but I had the valve covers off and no oil was coming to the head. I have a n1 oil pump and for the block the rear feed is blocked and the front feed is 1mm. I'm thinking of just starting it cuz the starter only turns the engine about 300rpm but I wanted to make this before I dried up my head and trashed it. thanks
  22. I got to it today and bought some rubber washers and it fixed it I did check the continuity first Duncan thank you guys for the info I kinda learned a lot from this about electrical stuff thanks.
  23. Wasn't able to get to it today also have some washers coming tomorrow will update tomorrow
