  1. Yep that's definitely the approach, I've been using course sand paper with the rolling method as well, my file is buggered so I'll get a new one if I can't find a mini punch and have another crack.
  2. I tried to modify my punch this morning but can't get it small enough without it degrading the structural integrity of the tool, so I'll have another look around the big smoke on Friday (couldn't find one fine enough last visit) when I'm in town, got to love rual living haha
  3. Yes my thoughts exactly, I did see a tech on YouTube doing what you are saying, but I can't seem to find a punch small enough to fit in the top hole.. Don't want to in large it any bigger. PS: if anyone got a couple spare lifters in NZ please let me know. Cheers
  4. My lifter valves are extra stuck in the underside of the bucket, the banging method definitely doesn't work, so I've tried pulling out with lockjaw plyers, but that seems to damage the black collar which holds the valve assembly in the lifter. Do I pull on the black colar, or pull on the stainless valve assembly? (which contacts/opens the inlet/exhaust valve) is there a method or a tool that doesn't smash up the lifters too much? Cheers
  5. Hey all, can somebody please confirm whether there is a frezze/welch plug in behind the thermostat housing? Don't want to bang it out if it isn't... but looks like it could be?
  6. Haha good call, I wish the mrs seen my engine as a good thing lol.
  7. Hey all, are there any differences between the turbo and NA valve springs? Cheers
  8. Sweet. Sustained high rpm... will be getting block work done prior to rebuild so thought may as well do this if it can be done easily enough. Cheers
  9. Sup you'll, does anyone know if the stock 20 na block can be machined for oe oil squirters? Cheers
  10. Hey all, can't find any info on the head diffrences between the rb20de and rb20det.. I'm building a de+t and not sure if I need to find a det head or build the one I got? Cheers
