  1. Mazda 6 for sure. Nice car, looks great and quality appears to be very good. Performance is not very good though. Still better then the other cars in this price bracket.
  2. When you can buy a shitbox VB or VN for so little you are allways going to attract an element that is a little lacking in the grey matter area... Oh and a heap of bogans!
  3. Those pictures have made me sick, some people are just brain dead. I really feel for you. I only had my brand new Black VX SS 3 days before someone keyed it all the way along the passanger side, then a month later an old lady in a camry ran into the front of it while I was stopped and a month ago an asian lady ran into it a camry and last week I was coming out of a pub in Manly and when I got to the car some guy was at it and started abusing me telling me it was a shit box etc and how his Ferrari at home was so much faster and how if he saw it again he was going to key it! I had never seen this pissed bastard in my life but he looked like he didnt have alot of money so I doubt he really had a Ferrari...
  4. Umm you think? Again go to LS!.com.au and ask for a guy with the nic PLan B. His LS1 ran a 12.2 with only an exhaust, small cam and LS1 edit. There are heaps of LS1s in the 12s actually, go look at the quick list on the same site, all with not much work at all. The fastest LS1 powered Holden is a 10 second LS1 in WA using a standard stroke 5.7litre with only a new manifold and cam plus exhaust and LS1 edit and a nice shot of nitrous. All the older cars are much lighter, dont have all the good bits or safety and you can guarantee dont meet emissions or act as daily drivers (the commodores I mention do) and they also run on slicks, put slicks on the newer Holdens and they run awesome times, traction is the big enemy of Gen 3 Commodores. Remember again you are comparing factory cars which are not built with running 12s in mind! Actually I read today that Plan B and and ALZ 57L are both running Flat 12s at the creek with 5.7litre cars but cant confirm this. Stupid uphill track! Anyway there are other LS1s running in the 11s allready at interstate tracks.
  5. Guys, its not the HSV cars you have to watch out for they are underpowered and overweight factory cars. The ones to watch are the cars that have had LS1 edit done on them, or even more so the cars with Head and Cam packages. Also strokers are starting to show up with big power gains. Sure your chances of running into these worked versions are slim due to the popularity of the commodore but if you do dont be suprised if they perform much better then expected Still for V8 commodores traction is always the main issue! :uh-huh:
  6. Pfft that is in Wheels mag and they cant drive. Motor runs consistant 13.5s in various conditions in a GTS and its listed as 13.3 by HSV and if you go on to LS1.com.au and ask a guy named craig he will tell you he ran a 13.3 in his stock VX GTS. I believe Street tuner said a stocker ran 13.1 in Adelaide but you would have to get him to confirm. I to thought there was a few R32s made in 1994. Congratualtions on the car it sounds very nice! I hope its a great car and now you can go thrash some of those Corsa's around Mildura
  7. Much to my suprise late one night I beat a Black S2000 with a loud exhaust off the line and from a roll in my stock VX Commodore SS. Actually I think we were both a little suprised! Very nice car's though, a friend of mine sells Hondas and gets one every now and then and top down cruising is a good bit of fun!
  8. Correct 225kw, but they are in fact detuned in stock form they produce 250kw in the US But Holden detuned them for our market. Mind you with just an exhaust and a rewrite of the software with LS1 edit and you are looking at 230rwkw. Not bad for $3k. Also I know of a new 225kw Holden ute that ran consistant 12.2 at EC with only exhaust, LS1 edit and a small cam.
  9. Very nice! 13.1 in street trim is an awesome time! I am hoping for low 13s after my first round of mods.
  10. I got owned today on the habour bridge, by a beautiful AMG SL55 Kompressor. Made my car look like it was standing still from a roll
  11. Yep I recall seeing you name around a few forums, what is done to you skyline? Are you the guy with 300rwkw!? Cheers
  12. That would be a good guess! HSV Senator on Ls1.com.au
  13. Thanks Whatsisname This is a pretty cool forum, I used to post on what I think was the old forum to this one? It was a NZ based forum with a regional section for Aus. Look foward to keeping up with Skyline news! I know plenty of people with them and think they are awesome cars! If I hadnt have bought a brand new car I would be driving an R33 right now! Cheers
  14. Yeah they started from the same set of lights as me and I had thought it was another car that I passed before but the detective car had come out of the servo! I took off with them behind me and by the time they had put on their siren at around 140 the cop tells me I was about 25 car lengths away (no Joke!), I could have just turned up the street and gotten away but I stopped and took it. They were good coppers but still sent me the fine/suspension in the mail for over 30km/h.
