  1. Hey everyone, I have got a timing belt that was sold to me by a local performance shop. They did an R32 with a 30DET in it using an RB25 head and they told me they rang gates and organised a belt with them that works with the idler/tensioner the same as TWINVL was setup but its a shorter belt so it doesnt run so close. The belt I was given is 25mm wide, its a Gates Racing powergrip belt. It has T1592R on it and the numbers 102 through to 106 and 5-25. Not sure if this information will help anyone in anyway, ive seen belts setup so many different ways its not funny, so what ever works go for it!
  2. It would require a lot of modification to fit an RB26 plenum too RB25/20. when I looked at it bolt pattern seemed similer but kind of upside down.
  3. I got a Wolf3D V4 Plugin ECU. I bought it of here. I am willing to sell it for $750+Postage if you are interested as I am planning on upgrading to a PowerFC. Cheers Edward
  4. got the brakes off my mates crashed R33 gtst selling complete: RDA slotted rotors and Red Stuff pads, only done 250kms. Calipers with braided lines and hubs asking $1600 cheers

  7. The box is pretty much brand new, theyve both only done 250kms the car was crashed and the gearbox is being checked over and rebuilt by Hugos, im going back to manual. No transbrake. Unsure of exact horsepower rating but it is the same box thats in GTautosound S15 and they claim to 750HP. Cheers
  8. Rebuilt Hugos racematic rebuilt to "supermodified" specs, bellhousing to suit any RB. Just rebuilt. 8" TCE 5000RPM converter, done about 250kms The retail of the gearbox is $2300 brillant box with great reputation. The retail of the stall converter is $1600 even though the big stall it was still great to drive on the street. TCE are known for making stallys streetable. Asking $3400
  9. Yep thats the car. He is a nice bloke, I only doubted it because you see people putting big turbos on GTRs and they dont seem to run such an impressive time. I am pretty sure he said it only makes about 350 but that might have been on the setup for the hill climbs or something.
  10. SirRacer I don't GIVE A F**K if your certain or not mate. Were you standing over my shoulder when I bought the kit? Thats what I paid complete rebuild kit, it was around $440 Pistons Rings Bearings and Gaskets. It was staff price and I am not sure theyre "Race Series" or not thats what I asked for, I know theyre standard type cast (which I stated) and NA compression ratio pistons. Why do you have to come on here and say I am talking shit, when you obviously don't know. And yeah most the questions on here have been examined in great depth on the sticky post R33 RB30 Engine conversion thread. Its just hard to find any information theyre because its too long, and to be honest even though I should I couldnt be bothered reading it all either! Edward
  11. Yeah R31 Nismoid, I didnt include all those factors because I didn't know them. Maybe the car your thinking of is the same one I am talking about because it was trailered to the event and I think its from around Brisbane area. It could well have been on race fuel, no doubt it had at least semi/slicks, I just had the feeling that N1s could only flow about 300rwkw and I would have thought that would be a long way off a 10sec pass.
  12. Hi everyone, I was talking to a guy that drives a tuff 32GTR at the local Hill climb. From what I was told the car has N1 turbos, Autronic, most likley a lot of money spent on the motor, it has a two stage rev limiter setup, its making 350KW, I assume its at all four and it runs a 10.3 or 10.4 at the drags, the car is pretty much full weight. I was talking to my mates about it and they all seem to think its quite possible, I wouldnt have thought N1 turbos could produce 350rwkw, and I would think you would need a lot more than 350rwkw to run a mid-low 10? Has anyone got any oppinions on this as it could solve our argument! Cheers Eddie.
  13. I will quickly add up my kinda cheap RB25/30DET conversion, its not quite finnished. Not including the block and head which I pretty much got for free: ACL Race rebuild kit, came with cast pistons, rings bearings gaskets etc, about $400 trade price at repco. I got the head rebuilt and modified for VCT plus the block drilled for the extra tensioner that was about, the block bored and honed surfaces decked I think it was around $1300 550CC injectors $300 (pretty sure theyre out of a 95on VG30DETT) We put the motor together ourselfs. I am going to need a custom exhaust and I am going 3.5" (its going in a VL) I got a quote for $1000. I am going to use a cheap hyrbid cooler 600x300x76, Should cost around $600 with plumbing. JD plenum $600 I am getting near new GT35/40 .82ex and 38mm Tial gate for $1650 6Boost manifold $1200. R33S1 Loom $50, Wolf3DV4 skyline plugin $650 Thats about $7700 theyre. You wouldnt need a JD plenum and 6boost manifld, or the $1000 exhaust, so I reckon you could almost do a 30DET for $5000 if you can do a lot of it yourself or with your mates and your conservative, use 2nd hand parts If all I had was 5k and thats it I wouldnt try as you can see I got some good deals, but im sure u can get a bit more cash, my cars been off the road for nearly a year now! Anyway I hope its some indication. If I have missed anything let me know and I will update it. Cheers Eddie
