Dear All,
Please bare with me but I am from Malaysia and I just could not find anything about the V35 information over here in Malaysia. After reading a couple of the post in this forum, I have a few more question to ask about the V35 - VQ25DD. I drive a R32 GTS and am currently looking for a 4 door skyline. The 4 door skyline is very rare in Malaysia. There's currently 2 units of V35-VQ25DD for sale in Malaysia (grey imports) and I just visited one of it. I just wanna make sure that I choose the better condition car before I make my purchase.
1) As I am not familiar with the VQ engine, is it suppose to sound like a diesel engine when it is on idle. How is the performance of a VQ25DD engine on the V35? Besides knowing that it is at 215ps from the web. And I have the feeling that it is underpowered for the weight of the car. How much horsepower increase will I get if I were to change the air filter and exhaust? What are the after market products available for the VQ25DD engine?
2) On the left side of the engine (where the brake fluid is located). Is there suppose to be a cover for it just like the battery section? As I seen the 350Z and it does have covers for both side of the engine bay (one for brake fluid section and one for battery section)
3) What is the difference between the 250GT and 250GTM that I seen in the specification in nissan.co.jp site? The car that I saw in the malaysia has black leather seats and its in maroon red colour.
4) I bought the RevSpeed magazine that featured a bit of the V35. Do you know anymore website on bodykits and stuff?
