Heya Guys, well i finally gave into the fact that at 281 rwhp i might need a new clutch, my old clutch wasnt doing too bad to tell you the truth but i know that i should go by the stuff that I am told and i feel that prevention is better than cure so instead of waiting for my clutch to die i may aswell do it now! So last night i picked up SLY with the new clutch I picked up a 9 puck 2600lbs brass button clutch. The friction point is abnout an inch off the groud which i soooo am not used too plus the actual friction is only about 1cm's worth i nearly stalled it the 1st time i went into gear. PSI installed it for me and seems like so far they have done a good job even though i will have to take a bit of time to get used to it, i am pretty crap at the moment in 1st gear trying to get it right... is that normal? or lets face it am i just crap with a new clutch?? but in 2nd gear change up to 5th man that thing changes into gear so friginn nice!!! Now i have read 100's and 1000's of threads identical about clutch stories but though you guys might wanna know as i think i might be the 1st one here to get PSI performance to do it. All in all I'd say Brett did a real good job but i am going to have to get used to it i think i am pretty sure he said 2600 lbs so it might last me for sometime... i am glad i got it now and not winter... if any of you guys are thinking about getting it in winter you might want to get it now coz i skidded my tyres accidently about 10 time laastnight if it were raining it would have been about 30!

Heya Guys, just read a quick bit about engines blowin up, do you think that my engine would live a nice life and not blow uyp with the following? SAFC ITC T3/T4 Hybrid Turbo @14psi HKS cam gear Fuel Pump Larger injectors With these mods will the longevity of my engine be ok? how would i make my engine last longer without it pooing itself? or do i have nothing to worry about?

Dude no one is angry at ya:uh-huh: Insurance has always been a big problem for us import drivers and just the word 'Insurance' gets our blood boiling, you will understand when you start having to pay it, especially 2k a year that does suck! If your parents do have a lot of money and are buying you this car, well we are all jealous of you, i tried to get adopted into one of the guys on here called Godfather s family so i could get a car bought for me like they did him but no luck with that :-( Now with me saying before going on about imports and the R34 being available... well it aint your fault dude that the salesman has fed you something it is up to you though if you beleive it. So if i or anybody else sees info saying otherwise i wouldn't bother to listen to that salesman on that.... besides isn't it a Holden dealership? One of the guys that come on here regularly with the Nick GTAAH runs c-red, he might be able to source you out something in the way of an R34....... 3 year warranty aint bad, but just remember when you start doing some mods to it always check with the people whos warranty it is with before you start doing mods to it....

My friend recently bought an FTO that matches exactly what you are talking about! wasn't even MIVEC and he got ripped paid $24,000 for it! he got scammed so bad! told him to check out c-red for other cars ... do ya think he would listen... bloody FTO drivers! he thinks his FTO is better than my skyline to..... pffft.... all dollars and no sense!

*Smack* please don't tell me the dealer tried to sell you some special paint protection thing for extra $$$$?? All you really need is a BUff Cut and Polish about once every say 6 months and then a polish once a month that will work fine, that is all i do to mine and the paint is in A1 perfect condition, still with showroom glaze to it! SHUTO Boy: I saw that R34 as well wanted about 45k for it! was very nice though and well looked after with nice kit and mags! it has since been sold don't mind white but would have looked nice in black or red me thinks, i am a bit past the yellow stage and aren't a big fan of yellow but one of the guys here called Franks in the eastern states has one of the nicest looking R34's i have seen in my life! and it is yellow.... eriktufa: dude, i still don't know why you keep saying that it is hard to import R34, i still have not read anything about R34's being let into aus, the only restrictions that i have seen under the new imports scheme so far is basically no mods are allowed to come into Aus and must be scrappped! If someone has seen otherwise please show me where you got the info from as i have no info on r34's not being let it, i think that maybe the salesman said that to you so you would buy it. Price of imports willl be going up and mods will not be allowed that is all i have read so far, Why would they specifically be targetting R34's when 33 GTR have the same power output??

Maybe don't beleive everything you heard from the car salesman, as far as I know R34 are still getting auctioned, please correct me if i am wrong. Many people on this website have subscribed to a Japanese Importer called Geoff Risbey he is located in Perth but has Japanese contact, he is a auto importer for people such as us. About every 2 mornings we get a listing of cars that have come up for auction and if you are interested you pay a small fee and bid for it. I have not read to date anything about the stoppage on R34's The only changes i have seen of late is that heavily modified cars can't come in only ones with VERY light or no mods are allowed into the country, if you do like a modified looking car and want to buy it well then you have to get a certificate to say that all the mods were destroyed before importation into Aus! Why is the R34 too dangerous as you mentioned???? Still all in all $38,000 for a R34 well mate i would be happy paying that, how many kms on it? auto or manual? good proce though if you ask me :-) Oh and welcome to the family!

I though as revenge when it gets close. I used armour all mag wheel cleaner, it then ate the painit off my brakes!!! I have since resprayed but i aint going to use mag wheel cleaner, coz my mags are polished i just use metal polisher....

Hey Cam, Yup Brett is the guy to speak to tell him that you are a good friend of Daniel Webb and he will look after you the same way as he did with dan (IMACUL8), Brett really does go that extra effort and incase of an emergency i know that i could call him and he would help! He is a very busy man though so book perhaps a week in advance. My car will be sleeping the night next tuesday and wednesday getting ready for auto salon so if you are there then let me know how my car is going :-)
