  1. ok i have done the test with the greddy cans....i have a 1L Genuine greddy catch can in my r32. Its only hooked up to the exhaust rocker cover and the inlet is still connected into the plenum...My catch can is hooked up so it goes back into the inlet......Anyways after the last track day i did..(a fair bit off trashing involved) when i got home i noticed the catch can was around 1/5 full...the pipe that came from the motor to the catch can was just that golden brown oilly colour...but then the hose that went from the can back to the inlet was absolutly spotless....this just tells me a hollow can does its job perfect..you dont need baffles and steel wool! i think from the turbulence of the blow by gas going around inside the can the oil particles will stick together to form bigger particles then fall to the bottom off the can....thus how these cans work...

  2. in my r32 the steering lines that go to the steering column only they dont go to any soleniods or anything that an electrical connection goes to....the only thing that uses an electrical connection is the big valve thing near the oil filter but that only controlls the rear end steering...not the front..so taking the computer out shouldnt affect the steering of the front because its all hydraulic its not electrical...there is no sensors telling the any part of the front steering to get heavy.....anyways i replaced my ps pump with an rb30 one...i had to change the pulley on it because the harmonic balancer on the rb20 has 3 grooves in it for the belt where as the rb30 pump only had a 2groove pulley...then i used an s14 steering resoviour (which fits perfectly)...and removed all the other shit that has to do with the rear steering....this was all the lines, ecu, valves solenoids....everything...so now it just works as if it is a normal power steering car..it has never gone heavy with the ecu removed...

    just my 2 bobs worth

  3. well what i am doing is..(i have a r32)....swapping the power steering pump with an rb30 one (have to change the pulley though on the front of it).....installing a lock bar...and ripping all the other lines valves computers and all the other stuff....i also just went and got a S14 power steering resovior cos its plastic and doesnt have all the outlets the hicas one does...this way is more expensive but thats the way i want it....nice and neat..

  6. the same happened to me...my dad is an electrician and we tested everything (the left headlight was gone) fuses, relays switch bulbs, were all perfect, we redone all the connections at the headlights, but it wasnt that either it even wasnt an earthing problem for the left light it turned out to be that the active feed to the light had deteriorated somewhere along the line because of the age and maybe the heat gettin to the loom...so we just ran another wire from the drivers light to the left light....but if you do this make sure you only have one fuse to both headlights if you have a fuse for your left and right headlight (not high beams) the right hand side fuse that you will be using will have to be the next amp rating up from what is in there...

  7. i have a practically brand new 9 inch TFT screen with a tv tuner (so you can actually watch TV channels on it). the screen is a dash mount type with 1 usb type plug cable for its power and rca plugs.. and a brand new PS2 (small version) that is mounted perfectly in my glovebox..comes with small light power inverter to run PS2...looks and works percectly...can wire PS2 upto your car stereo so when you watch dvd's you have good sound...everything in perfect condition have boxes for everything with warranties....asking $700 for the lot. will post anywhere.

  8. why cant you just install the bar, swap the power steering pump with a non hicas one and change the resoviour to a non hicas one (ie S14 one) then rip everything to do with hicsa out leaving only the lines to the front steering column...and presto you should just have a normal steeering R32.....shouldnt you..what should the HICAS ECU have to do with the front steering once all the valves and shit are stripped for the rear steering??
