well a religion i was interested in was crushed without evening having a chance.

You might think it's rediculous,but i don't see it being anymore then any other religion.
Guess it ends it what you think is more important Law or Religion.
Im most cases i find Law being more fair,so i choose to believe in it rather then religion.

Relegion....is only important to people who beleive in that particular religion or people of who's religion accepts other religions. Right?

Remmeber, head scarf and burka are totally two different things. I agree making mandatory on women taking their burka off on official photo shoots i.e. drivers license and banking etc. when photo id is needed but otherwise we live in a free society and every person is free to live and dress the way the like.
If i have to take a hood off, They can take a scarf off.
If i have to take a balaclava off, They can take their equivilent off aswell.
Note: i said "If i have to" which usually means a place of buisiness which is not owned by myself hence.don't make the rules.By all means i have no objection in them wearing burka's and scarfs on the street. Like you said that personal preferance and this is Australia.
I don't see whats wrong with following the rules which everyone else has to abide by.

Looks to be the equivilant of wearing a hoody.and i know for a fact,driving with a hoody is dangerous
as you can't see out the corner of your eyes good. Makes for lots of blindspots.
Not that i've ever been asked to remove my hood when entering a bank/store because i do it automatically.
You know,being brought up with respect and all.
