  1. Just letting those that want to know (and care)....

Garrett was admitted into hospital on monday. He has broncitus and now has caught pneumonia too... He was doing well up until last night when we took a few steps back.

He is on oxygen and has to be tubefed as he isnt strong enough to feed. meds are going in via a iv drip (That hurt so much to hold him down for them to put it in).

Im asking everyone to think good thoughts, pray, to a get better dance, what ever is needed to help my little boy get better.

Its a really trying time, but we know our little man is a fighter.

  2. Thanks everyone... Its is very nice to be home. Garrett is doing really well, sleeping HEAPS!! Very much in love with his daddy.

Birth wasnt as bad as thought, all the drugs for the ceaseran made it alot better, just wish i had more of them now while i recover.

Thanks again to everyones kind words and support throughout this time, it much appreciated by our new little family. We are home now, and visitors are welcome (expecially if they are willing to nurse Garrett while i rest a bit :w00t:)

  3. Awwww shucks :( My hubby makes a thread for my birthday.

Nothing is planned until a dinner on saturday.

Jase and I are playing it safe, as little Garrett is threatening a VERY early arrival.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

  4. The v8 is finished.... YAY.

So i will finish this and update you all on what has happened since the last post.

This is as Jase was painting the sump in our infamous Kermit Green... fun afternoon with the paint cans nozzle being poo and annoying jase. In the end it looked good tho.

  5. Ok cause Jase has been alittle slack ill add a quick non-pic update.

On sunday we seated the valves (i did one of the heads and im rather proud of myself), finished the heads off and now the motor is looking more like it should.

Fingers crossed that today we might be able to get the motor in!

  6. Trapnell ahahahaha.............. your going to be waiting a while, they have taken 2 years with my bros engine so far and it still isnt done.

Hope it all turns out well tho.

They did the heads for it and we didnt wait for too long. They have been pretty good actually which is nice.

Rang them just before to get the quote to bore out the head for jase and they told me 1-2 days and they will have it done by the end of the week.

We have been told that they can be alittle slow, but so far so good for us, which is lucky, cause we need the v8 running asap :P

  7. Awww - I cant believe that you got abused and honked at... Is this the hospitality i have to look forward to when i move to Brisbane next week??

    Hope all gets sorted...

w00t w00t for the c210 - i have a c210 coupe.... Just have to get her from Tamworth.

  8. Yeah - The dealership where i went werent too bad - but the salesman still looked down on me anyway - tried to push me towards the focus :P

Been to other dealerships with guy friends (where i have known more about cars then them) kinda scared the sales guys when i knew more then what they did !

Yeah links - sounds like a good idea - having the big guys in passenger seat would be a pretty big deterant for being a bad driver.

  9. When i first read this i was think about a FPV GT i wanted to test drive alittle while ago. As i am 21 and female the salesman almost laughed me off and told me i wanted to test drive it i would need to put a deposit down.

I havent heard of private sales doing this, although i can see the problem you are getting.

But still its hard cause yeah, there are so many out there who are selling and it could mean the difference between a sale and not.

  10. hello

just curious if anyone has any ideas on how much a new power steering pump would be for a 98 sonata - flat mate has gone over seas and left me his car - but the power steering has gone...

Warranty covers up to $750 and i wanna make sure in my ditzy state of late that they arent gunna rip me off..

So ball park figures would be great

    thanks
