  1. Kamikaze: yeah mate, the drop in boost was just the ECU sensing too much boost. It went up to 1.2bar for some reason, i think it was becoz of the cold weather. But now its on 1 bar and hasnt one it since. Munro: how did they compare?
  2. Irich: yeah thats me mate! The wheels arent Enkei, but look VERY similar to Enkeis. Id love to give ya a look/spin in it if you want. Maybe send me a PM or something, and we'll organise something.
  3. 32godzilla, nah havent ran any times as yet. With 240rwkw and a good launch im hoping for low 12's maybe even into the 11's??? rb26dett: well ive dumped it about 3 times at around 6500rpm, and it only smelt once a little bit. It still feels the same as it did before. I took it into a tuning place today aswell, and the bloke pressed the clutch in, and reckons its a bit harder that a stock one, so maybe its not stock??? It hasnt slipped at all with the power its got. Who knows.
  4. Ah sweet, hopefully its not gonna burn out then after a few more. Hey by the way 32godzilla, what sort of times did you run?
  5. Hi guys, well just got back from a spin, and I tried a launch at 6000rpm in the GTR. It felt really good, and really kicks you back, but when I stopped, the engine bay had this weird smell, which I thought could maybe be the clutch not liking the launches?? Any ideas?
  6. Thanks for that Mega. Which turbo outlet hose am I removing? I can totally remove the top AFM, but cant get the bottom one undone at all. I tried disconnecting the AFM from the turbo inlet, but cant get a spanner in to do it, very packed in.
  7. Thanks for that mate. Im more interested in the turbo timer than the other parts. I think there is 1 turbo timer that does remove the speed limiter, a blitz one i think from memory??? Anyway Ill get back to you real soon about the turbo timer (if its still for sale) thanks, Andrew
  8. Im interested too, and would like the above questions answered aswell Thanks.
  9. I might be interested in a few parts. Will the strut tower fit if I have aftermarket (Tein) suspension? Do the pods have the adaptors to fit an R32 GTR? And does the turbo timer have the wiring harness/adaptor for R32 GTR? And also does this turbo timer remove the speed limiter?? thanks, Andrew
  10. SkylineMannen, this isnt to do with the thread, but your avatar says you have a 1995 R32 GTR. I didnt think they made R32's in 1995? I was sure they finished in 1994.
  11. You and me both! Im on youth allowance for the moment too. Well ive only been on it for 2 weeks, coz im going back to my job in marketing next week. My R32 has got a full full exhaust (minus dumps), k&n panel filter, cam gears, boost up, and R34 GTR turbos. Its got 240rwkw. Stock ECU and intercooler. Maybe you better send me a PM back so we dont hijack this thread.
  12. Hey mate, yep just got the GTR, but its not registered yet!! Still waiting on the compliance plate, so I havent really taken it for a proper spin, only on the way home from melb. But from what ive experienced in it, it is bloody quick, and handles like a dream. Ill hafta come back down to adelaide soon and catch up with you guys.
  13. HAHAHAHA, lovely answer Joel. I have seen so many guys that fit your description driving their "fully shick" VK's and looking mighty cool. Predator: you get so many looks in your skyline, coz its a damn sexy one!!!
  14. ylwgtr2, I think I found it. On the left side near the front, behind the alternator. Its just scratched onto the block. Has an RB26 up the top, then underneath that has like a 6 digit number i think, then a letter after it. Is this it?
  15. Hey guys and gals. Does anyone know where the engine number on the block is for an R32 GTR? I am getting it registered really soon, and remembered with my GTST the lady had a problem finding the engine number. I can not see it anywhere. Some help please?
  16. Geez youre engine bay looks sweet now Matt (whatsisname) I really think that is the best engine bay Ive ever seen! I plan on doing the vaccuum hose, paint and a few other things on my GTR very soon. First im focusing on the metal parts (rocker covers, plenum etc) being polished to a mirror finish. Got half that done. Then will move on to the hoses etc... I reckon matt, maybe you should have a go at getting the rocker covers and plenum polished up to a mirror finish. That would just top it off. Do you reckon you could give some of us some tips on doing the engine bay up from scratch? Like where and what to buy, how much we are looking at? thanks mate, Andrew
  17. BNCR32: nah sorry, i really prefer the airbox over the pods. Mainly coz of its ability to suck just the cold air, and it still gets enough air in anyway.
  18. Hi Guys, I want to remove the standard airbox on my R32 GTR to clean the filter element, but am not sure how to. I can undo the 4 clips, and remove the top AFM, but have no idea how to reach/unbolt the bottom AFM to remove the box... Any tips on how to do it? thanks in advance.
  19. Thanks guys. Blind elk: the reason I want a turbo timer is the same reason nearly every other skyline owner does. Even if i do drive casually around, I still would like it to cool down a bit more than I can have time for. I just like to baby it a bit, as I just love the car. Ula32: how much of a difference will I get with the ECU remapped? I already have 240rwkw, with stock intercooler, fuel etc. Will my injectors hold up to more power ok? It seems the injectors might have a bit more in them, as its running VERY rich at 240rwkw, so maybe 260 - 270rwkw?
