  1. OK... photos that i have put up are at:

    http://www.landbarge.com/index.php?name=co...ls&album=19

Like I said, there's not a huge number of them, so if you're expecting to see your car in there, you'll probably be dissapointed, but hey... I was there for the cruise... it was only kate's second cruise in her own car, the first being the ACE Ford Cruise this year and a completely different situation.... she had a great time, as did I... tho we didn't hang around at the end long, we bailed for a burger at Alfreds :pwned:

Thanks to Paul and everyone who helped organise it, it was a great cruise.

  2. what she said... :pwned:

i knew exactly where we were going.... in the end only 1 car followed us to Roe highway, but by the time we got to turned off Welshpool road we had about half a dozen cars behind us.... so we can't have been too far behind?

btw, i'll be putting up some of the handful of photos i took.... wasn't going nuts with the camera, i think i only have about 26 shots i'm happy enough to put online...

  3. no pics of my car :D

    not even the octane photos.

not even any pics of my cloud of smoke!!!

Were you driving the Stage on the night? I saw at least one there that I didn't manage to get photos of.... I'm sorry... I try to get shots of as many different cars as possible, but I will always end up missing at least a couple of cars over the night...

  4. Consider this.... John Zappia, holder of the world Doorslammer ET record at 5.922 seconds, sits on the right hand side of the car....

a lot of the lhd cars you see are US build cars with local bodies on them... or just straight out US cars..... some are converted and I'm sure everyone who does the conversion has a reason for it.... but if Zap can run 5's sitting on the right hand side of the car, i don't see it as essential...

  5. Hi I also have problems but mine sticks in third and wont change into overdrive but not everytime worse in day heat ,

    also,unless i fiddle with the at/snow setting.

it also changes down too even when i am at 100klms on freeway, and again the at/snow switch will help the change if not i have too change between drive and nutral till it does. but if all that fails i kick the side panel where the comp is and that makes it change eventually.

It has also recently started too loose all drive aswell like it goes into neutral and i have too go between drive and neutral too get it too re engage.

i have noticed if it changes smoothly from 1st too 2nd all goes well, but if it changes with a neck jerk grab too 2nd i know i will be having trouble.

But if the weather is cold i dont seem too have too many probs,

Anyboby got any ideas on what too do please.

kates rb20det auto kicked down from 4th on the freeway today and is refusing to go into 4th or reverse now.... 1st 2nd and 3rd appear to be working fine.. hoping desparately to find an electrical problem with it tonight, but more realistically looking for a replacement box now...

  6. i'm a member of both AFARCC and WASCC...

Both are CAMS affiliated, so you can get your CAMS license through them...

Both run wanneroo track days, but the AFARCC ones cost about $100 each and happen twice a year, while the WASCC ones happen about 4 times a month and cost about 40 bucks a day (it helps that the WASCC own the track :D )

WASCC membership also gets you into all the race meetings, including the V8 Supercars and the SuperTrucks and all WASCC run drift events...

AFARCC membership gets you cheap entry into our AHG skidpan days, our Wanneroo track days and our Collie days, plus invites to our cruises and social events (like the pub crawls we run once or twice a year)

  7. And yes, I was actually quite keen to see a decent turnout from SAU... You guys have quite a few impressive cars, and the effort you guys put into the [cabin] events was really great to see...

I get a bit sh***y around events like this, cos I spend all season taking photos at the plex, and don't get me wrong, i get into every class that runs, from the junior dragsters to the top fuellers... But I've been into Jap cars since before i got my learners.. and when the Motorplex puts on an event like this one, and the turnout is like it was... It's pretty depressing...

  8. Geeze.... what happened to SAuWA? you guys used to be everywhere...

i guess a fully scrubbed and prepped track, perfect conditions for turbo cars and trophies on offer all for not much more than a wednesday night meet, doesn't interest you guys anymore?

  9. Fantastic night apart from the moment when I got bogged on the hairpin at the top of the hill and when I spun out of the final corner and almost hit the wall on the opposite side. I was pretty pleased with my effort as a first timer. But the rest of the night was great. There was a lot of media there. Are we going to see pictures/video's sometime soon?

Here's my photos from the night... Not sure how many other people were signed on as media.. I only saw Furious Imports filming (plus myself taking photos)

  10. Well.. I think I've finally gotten all the photos sorted for HighOctanePhotos.com from MV2005....

From 7063 photos, taking up 8.8 gigabytes of space, i've cut it down to approximately 1600 photos... (I know, I should be more selective, I've still got double ups in there and stuff like that) Anyway, thats ~900 photos from Friday night and Saturday, and ~700 photos from Sunday alone...

I've split it up into 2 albums to make it kinda managable, but still, it's gonna take a fair while to get thru em all...

You can find the 2 albums at http://www.highoctanephotos.com/motorvation (which will take you to the generic Car Shows page, and the 2 Motorvation 2005 albums are at the top of the page.)

Because I know how long it will take to look thru the whole lot, after all, I've just done it, I'm putting up some of my favourites at www.LandBarge.com , which I'm picking out as I go thru, adjusting the colour balance, cropping em and then resizing em (HighOctanePhotos.com images are just taken straight from the camera, resized, stamped and uploaded, so some are a little dark, but can be corrected, or would look better with cropping...)

Anyway, the LandBarge.com overview of MV2005 can be found starting here: http://www.landbarge.com/Events/20050114_M.../MV_2005_01.htm it's 2 pages at the moment, and is a work in progress.. I'm not much of a writer, but I'm trying to fit a few words in between the photos, and I'm also putting in new photos as I find them, and keeping my mind open to removing some that don't make the grade when stacked up against the new additions...

  11. damn... i'm lame too... i thought it was good

btw, who's is the skyline with the piranha/shark thingo on the side? was down at the plex with x-speed guys on the friday before motorvation... and saw fit to nail it toward the exit gate...

good work .. i'm sure they love us there now...

  12. Eye witnesses said it was pinging it's arse off.... which usually suggests it wasnt tuned for the conditions.... given that it was cooler on the day than I was expecting... thats a surprise...

Anyone remember what it made on the dyno at Sport Compact? I'd expect them to be putting in a fair effort to get it back up to spec by the next Sport Compact....

  13. Ant's R32 GTR made 616rwhp, and took out the 4WD 6cyl blown, and I think outright class. Nathan Webbs R33 GTR made 475rwhp. I think Lee from SilviaWA got 400+ from his car too.

All-in-all a decent result considering the number of Trevs there:D

You mean "Lee from AFARCC got 436 hp" :-)
