  1. and Paul, I'm pretty sure you can pick up Mothers at Marlows, same as Meguirs, it's just that their range is pretty limited.... Wonder if somewhere like the PPG distributor would have a decent range of car care products?

Maybe one of Perths "premier" speed shops should start carrying it... :-)

(BTW, Speedworks/WheelsWorld stock Swissol cleaning gear, which is apparently better than Meguirs/Mothers, but not cheap)

  2. Meguires on the outside....

go to www.mequires.com and hunt down their online car protection guide... it asks you a heap of questions about where you live, what your cars exposed to, and (essentially) how much you care about your car.... adn then puts together a program for you based on your answers.... (not all the products listed are easily available here unfortunately, but with a bit of hunting, you should be able to get them, or something very similar)

On the inside, i don;t use much except for the armourall 'new car' cleaner.... similar to normal armour all, only with a lemon scent...

It should be back in action shortly, the other problem with it is the stock gearbox, and the 99% chance it will fail shortly due to the power output of the motor, a dog box is the owners next purchase, and that will take somewhere between 8-12 weeks to get one made within oz, and a few weeks to source a unit from japan, and given the hasles the stock box gave when it ran 11.1, itd be better to have a box that will work cleanly so as to make a full power pass worth while of getting kicked out, itd be anoying to see it go just under 10.99 and not do a run near its full capabilities, which is somewhere down to a very low ten and possibly on a perfect run, a high 9..

hmmm... i think i've missed something denver.... didnt you start all this backwards and forwards sledging with something in this post?

all i'm seeing here is denver stating some issues, none of which relate to SST at all....

maybe steve is feeling a little insecure over his work on the car?

  4. night masters, no question.....

it is a pity that the plex chose this night for the 4's 6's and rotes meeting.. but it's hardly the first time, they seem to think the Jap car crowd don;t care about mainstream racing... I seem to remember a fewyears ago they scheduled the event on the V8 Supercar weekend....

Or maybe the plex management just don't care about circuit racing... :)

  5. hmmm..... i know the packs have issues with supras.... Ivan had to stay in my car while we put them on.... I thought it was ok with cars like Nik's R33 tho.... I'll check later....

Correction: The packs _just_ missed fitting Nik's car... but new extended hubs for this situation are on their way...

(For those of you who don't know Niks car, most race cars don't have body kits this wide :-)

  6. well... if it's got 4 studs, 5 studs or 6 studs, then it will be ok....

    (on the dynapack)

rear packs can handle about 800hp, and fronts about 600 from memory....

i saw one mob putting Sumo's [TECHONE] onto a dyno with the ATESSA fuse pulled, and only a chock under the front wheels to hold it back....

  7. I prefer the Dynapack setup APA uses... runs 4wd cars as well as 2wd... and has none of the traction issues roller dyno's do, because the dyno bolts straight to the hubs... much safer too... unlike some places that don't even bother to tie down cars... (i don't think the place i'm thinking of here has ever been mentioned on this forum, so we'll leave it that way :-)
