  1. Hey guys, Went to start up the gt-r on sunday morning to find the batery was completly dead after just being replaced last month. I have connect up the meter and a light bulb and yes, there is a constant current being drawn from the BAT 10 amp Fuse, this is highlighted in WHITE on the fude cover lid. But i cant read jap so i dont know whats draining my power. The light bulb does not shine at a consistand brightness but, dimming in and out if this means anything. taking the fuse in and out everytime i drive the thing is begining to become a burdon. It's an R33 model 1995. Hope you guys can help me or throw some sudgestions to find were this power is being sucked from. Cheers.
  2. Turns out Suncorp turned down the polacy once they heard of the GT-R being a v-spec saying this cars too expecsive to fix. Dads now moving onto a polacy with Shannons for around $1.2 thousand full comprihensive, catch is maximun km's per year is capped at 8,000km + tripple point imobiliser + photo's... So insureing this car with anyone is a hasle. Any other companies you guys can recomend him for some decent quotes?
  3. OK my dad had the same trouble while looking for one, though we did find out the easiest way to tell witch is simply bend over and look up the ass of the car and if the diff has cooling fins on it and looks somthing like a 50cc engine off a bike... thats a v-spec diff no garentees somone has put one on there tho look at the front brakes because there diferant to a normal GT-R too Oh and whats wrong with the R32 GT-R? to put it simpley, there is a longer reaction time befor the 4x4 kicks in plus its not the smoothest of motion compared to the R33... this makes it a pig to drive hard if you dont know what your doing. although its around a second quicker 0-100 R33 just makes a much more driver orientated ride.
  4. thats a bloody big quote! dad range up Shannons (who deal whith unique/collector cars) and for maximum of 8,000 km per year they will insure him on $1,200 a year i made a mistake suncorp are curently charging him $1,500 a year at the moment. however there is no km restriction.
  5. he's with suncorp on $1200 a year for his GT-R v-spec
  6. Famous are bloody expensive!!! they want to charge my dad $2700 a year for full compriensive its an R33 GT-R v-spec, garage, 3 point imobiliser he's on a rating 1 with no offences in 8 years at the age of 44 this quote is just bullshit. I rang them and asked on a price for a N/A mr2 1993 model and they wanted $3,700 !!! last time im going to ring them!
  7. take a look at that N/A toyota mr2... what do you guys think of that? seems prety flash!
  8. you will find one if you import it yourself i think???
  9. So was your car originaly made with a RB25DE? or has somone put that in? thanks for your reply's guys!!! Idefinatly agree that any skyline including my current R31 TI pisses on any comador even up to the standard VS, they drive and handle like shit. I have put a silo LSD, monrow GT gas shocks, 1st stage lowers springs, power steering pump, rack, uni joints + cold air intake on a k&n pod with a bashed up CAT and 2 1/2 inch sustem. its an auto and pulls a mid 8 sec 0-100 hitting rev limiter with the decent tires i have i can not beleive how well it handles for a family sedan, little own its steering responsivness. BTW im selling this car pm me for details But i would like somthing looking abit more attractive, somthing that wont cost me alot of money to keep, ive already done the whole rear calipers + overhauld the front and new pads and the car has only done 190,000 km!
  10. Whats the performance figures for the stock RB20DE in a R32? reasons for this enquirory... i cant insure a turbo car! any info you guys can give me on prices would help too! what prices am i looking at for a N/A R32 and whats the diferances for a turbo? and if you guys think a N/A 32 is a complete wast of a car???
  11. respray = been in crash!!
  12. Is there such information that can be found? even if anyone know's of a GT-R road test this would be very helpfull for my decision making in buying this beast if anyone can leave general info about this car seeing as i dont know anything at all this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys for the silly questions but a man has to start somwear
  13. How much is this vehicle worth in the best posable condition posable with 50,000 km on the clock. I am thinking of buying this car and its condition is to good to be true without a drop of dirt in the engine bay and imported off a private seller. They are asking 59,000 k all original. whats the benchmark for a car of this caliber
