  1. This is one import place I can highly recommend to all members. Domenic, the owner and his family offer very friendly and honset service.

I got my entire auto to manual conversion kit from him at a very competitive price. Have been dealing with Holford Motors for years now.

  2. Rebirthing imports is very very easy, especially if its the first time to be registered in Australia. Its going on around us, we just don't know it.

All you can do is keep your fingers crossed that it pops up in one piece. All the best.

  3. WazR32GTSt, silicone would be a quick fix, thought I would do that (plus the cover I have for car) for now till I fix it properly...

MissRB25DET I called the guy and he was VERY helpful, however not want I wanted to hear. He said I wont find just the seal, that I will need to replace sunroof. He also said to say thank you to you for all the reccomendations, he is getting business from you mentioning him to us skyline owners :P

    Thanks again!

Thats really nice to hear :)I have bought a few things from them and never had a problem.

As for the sunroof, what are you going to do now?

  4. Thanks for your input guys/girls. I knew the cop was talking crap but I just needed to verify it. Oh well, this doesn’t stop me from reverse parking everywhere. It is a lot safer to pull out of a spot once reversed in rather than reversing out of a car spot. We will see what ill get pulled over for next time. Ill just add this experience to my list…lol :)

Looks like ill be carrying the Vic Roads rules in my car for now on…lol :P

  5. Just found this. I think the cop was wrong.

    Check out http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrpdf/randl/part_12.pdf

section 210, 3(B), this states that

"if the vehicle is parked on the side of the road—may position the vehicle with either the front or rear of the vehicle nearest to traffic in the marked lane or line of traffic next to the part of the road where the driver parks."

They've even got a nice picture of a car parked at 90° with the rear end in and it has got a tick on it.

  6. Yes, they were picking on an import because as I was parking reverse and so were another 5 Aussie cars. The cop only spoke to me but no one else who parked like me.

The reason for reverse parking was so I don’t scrape the front bar even though my car is legal hight, they make the curb ridiculously high.

Also at the time there was people reckless stuff (drifting in the wet, driving way too fast) but he went for me for parking. No fine was given. Just the usual breath test, licence and took down my details. But I’m sure there is more important things to do than pull me over for something so petty.

  7. I reversed parked my car in the 90 degree parking spot and cop car pulled beside me and did his usual random check. I asked, "What did I do wrong?" the officer told me that I have parked illegally. Apparently you cannot reverse park into a 90 degree parking spot unless you are in a shopping centre car park.

Oh, he didn't give me a fine because all the other cars were parked the same. Mind you that at this car park, there were all commos and fords hotted up but he only chose to pick on a Jap car. I feel violated.

The cop said that it is only legal to park like that in NSW.

Is this true or is this :bs!: ???

  8. The stock turbo is only efficient and effective upto 12psi MAX. You can put it up more but what you don't know is actually hurting your car, by this I mean, internally you wiping years off your engine.

I have been recommend by all mechanics that 12 is a absolute safe limit you want to sit on. Any more you need to start adding more fuel to compensate for the air. This means changing injectors, fuel pump, high flow fuel filter, fuel lines, Apexi PowerFC.

In order to unleash more power you may as well change the turbo.

  9. I have the stealth bov on my r33. Its really good because you can control how loud you want the bov to be. You can also take the trumpet off it looks less suspicious if you do have it vented to atmosphere. But if you have the trumpet on and you have the bov on plumb back, the cops still pick at it as they think it on vent to atmosphere.

  10. Yea good cruise guys!

We were all very impressed with your exit on to the hume highway MissRB25DET

you should have been driving all day...

    Cheers,

    Gen Spec.

    Me?? never... hahaha.....

sorry couldnt help myself, no better way to exit :P

The mr enjoyed driving at the cruise at least let me drive back. next cruise im the pilot and he is co-pilot, DAMN STRAIGHT!

    AWESOME CRUISE girls and guys.

  11. ...learning to drive 4WD since I was 14, doing a bit of driving on stations in old bombs and learning how a car controls does mean something

who teaches a 14 year old how do drive when it is illegal in all states in Australia and the world for all i know. correct me if im wrong. The issue with this is that 'childrens' parents/guardians who teach them to drive 4wd or any car at the age of 14 increases the likely hood of the child taking the car for a joy ride risk killing themselves and others. Its been on the news stacks of times.

To be honest! I think if I had a nice import first off I wudnt have had even 1/4 of the Fun I had in my other cars!

You just proved the point that you can be dangerous/reckless in any type of car not just an import.

If this is not the type of 'fun' you mean than clarify this statement.

  12. Missrb25det!

Ive had license for 4 years. Just cos I moved states and still am on my Ps doesnt mean much. The fact of the matter is I waited until I was 19 to get my first high powered Import. Thats almost 3 years, Not 3 days.

    So there you go.

I don't want to offend you in any way but how can you judge someone you don't know? 4 years driving experience is shit all too, seriously. Don't tell me you don't make mistakes, we all do. What you said about parents being irresponsible is inappropriate I believe. Look, if the guy thinks he will be safe then good luck to him and support him to be safe. But comments like you made only get people angry. No matter how much track experience you have, it will still not prepare you for what the road is going to throw at you. I understand your point and you are entitled to it, some points you are right as the fatality of young drivers in high powered cars is terrible but don’t generalise that every young driver is an idiot on the road.
