i use ngk coppers... only 24 bux for a set of 6 and thats all you need! i read somewhere though that you gotta replace coppers every 10thou k's so. compared to the iridiums that i had (damn $80 too) its very good. one i use are NGK's BKR7E:- pre-gapped to 0.8 and one heat range colder.

hey all... anyone out there know what kind of shocks skylines come with? mine need replacing also, what kind of similar brands would be a good replacement for mine? i still got the stocky ones so they are due for a replacement (the rear ones anyway) any preferred places you guys go to in vic? thankz0r

i always change mine from hot. leave it for a few hours then put everything back together again. what always gets me though is the oil filter. it always makes a mess!

another question after installing a new clutch, is there a 'running in' period, similar to rebuilt engines?

yep...i never had em on mine in the first place, not one metal bit!

i got an extra 40kw at all 4. and boost/engine responsiveness is way more better as well.....plus fuel economy (hehe) improved too.

true... too bad we dont have any of that royal purple stuff over here in melb....i wouldnt mind trying it and see how it goes.....

yeah i generally use the cheapest oil there is at the moment...last oil change it was shell helix (5w-40), this time it could be mobil 1(5w-50) occasionally i use the castrol formula r...but damn thats expensive! but the oem oil has to be good right??!?! they even use it on their silvias...

went to my local nissan today and found out that the original oil (7.5w-30 @ 5ltrs) and oil filter is a total of $38.00 !!! what does everyone think of original nissan oil as opposed to the mobil's, shell's and castrol's, etc? is the oem oil fully snyth, etc??

went down there yesterday and saw the racing...they had gt performance, gt production, nations cup (wow), etc. there was a heck of a lot of evo7's there and some 6's for the gt performance category. got to get up real close to the racing and got a wander around in the pits afterwards as well to check out the individual cars. got to see the new lambo and all i can say is holy shit! damn it looks amazing! funny races were the 'brute utes' (haha) and the hq holdens racing. the ute race was more like a demolition derby where everyone was just smashing anyone and everyone out of the way if it meant they could go up a place. almost every ute had a dent in it! for the gt performance category the evo's and the wrx's ruled the track. but the nations cup races.......damn!! absolutely amazing cars! i want the lambo! hehe. there were also 4 skylines in the car park. i R33 series 2 gtst, a silver R33 stocky looking GTR (dunno about the vspec sticker there...didnt see the different diff), a black real R33 GTR vspec that was mildly modded and finally a black R32 GTR aussie delivered version! the R32 was parked amongst the gt performance evos but the driver wasnt there....anyone from here that own that car? check out the pics http://members.optusnet.com.au/~ula32/Pics.../Winton-July23/ ps - obviously the turbo cars ruled the day! hehe
