  2. So, does anyone know of an australian certified carbon fibre manufacturer and i'll say i bought my hood from them. To not have to pay my fine for my hood on my r32 i need to present a certificate that says it meets australian standards.

  4. 32's might have old parts but you can renew them, 33's are ugly and theres nothing you can do about it, lol

  6. and is anyone selling an rb26dett complete????????????
  7. when he's finished with it, it will be pretty much a real wheel drive gtr and it'll probably cost as much as moding a gtst normally
  8. my mate is considering dropping a gtr engine into his 32 gtst. Just wondering if anyone on here has done it before??? Do you think it would be a better idea just to buy a gtr and sell the gtst???
  9. a little bit longer off the road now is cool as long as when it is eventually on the road it'll stay there
  10. it wont be a track car but i need it to be reliable. I want to be able to boost up to 300hp@the wheels and my engine to be strong enough to handle it and last a long time. So do i need rods then.... ?????
  11. my toy has been off the road for awhile, doing upgrades. when it was stock i wasn't getting any better than that (350ks) , but i drove it fairly hard
  12. what bout getting it blueprinted, is it worth it
  13. cheers guys, looks like i'd prob be better off to stick with the standard parts and just do a bit of headwork. Thanks so much for all the information
  14. yes, i'd be keen. my car should be finished by then. count me in
  15. efi diagnostic and repair cetre at capalaba did mine when i first bought my car, not sure whether they replaced it with generic or genuine but it was like 300 bucks for the 02 sensor, carbon clean and labour and i was very happy with the result
  16. I'm in the process of putting my baby together (imaculate 32 gtst) My new turbo has been made up, intercooler, exhaust as well as a few other things, clutch, pod filter, greddy boost controller, short shift box, body kit, carbon fibre hood and new paint.... But my engine is still in pieces in my mates workshop (rb20). I am sending to an engineer i know this weekend to start working on it. The turbo i have is rated at 400-450hp, and im only going for a bit over 300hp at the wheels. So long story short - Do i need forged pistons??????? ....and what about cams and shit too, thank you (550cc injectors are going on as well as bosch 040 fp)
  17. i bought mine 6mnths ago. Was seemingly in near to perfect condition, 90.000 k's and i've had to do - air con o2 sensor clutch radiator engine seals air flow meter turbo blew - replaced with gt2871r in rb20 turbo housing will be back on the road soon and will be waiting for next thing to go wrong
  18. that sounds right, i just have a mate that has a 32 type m and swears that when he replaced his turbo the one that was on it was journal bearing and was standard
  19. they blow a f**k load of white smoke when the turbo seals go cuz thats what happened when i f**ked my turbo. Cuz oil goes into the exhaust and through intercooler. Maybe yours are leaking but not completely gone??
  20. oi fat 32, what kit is that on that 32 you've got a pic of. That's f**king hot. Better then that 33
  21. Was looking at getting my turbo high-flowed by gcg. They said they could easily get the power i wanted out of it because they said my turbo was ball bearing in my r32 series1 but i thought series 1 were general bearing. Please help
  22. mine was running like shit and nearly stalling cuz of an o2 sensor. It could be heaps of shit. Anyone or any performance mech will just keep swapping or fixing shit till they figure it out. Just take it to an EFI diagnostic workshop and they will figure it out quicker and cheaper. Then take it to your performance mech to be fixed or do it yourself. That's what i did
  23. i've been looking for an upgrade too. I've decided to buy a GT2871R in a RB25 housing to bolt on from horsepowerinabox.com (special order) . But i think you should get a high flowed and steel wheel converted RB25 turbo from GCG. Great power output for the price and you get a discount for being an SAU member. Good reliable bolt on
  24. YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE TO GET IT DYNO'D TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM!!! i had similar dramas with my 32 and had it dynod at couple of different places and both times miss diagnosed and cost me alot of time and money. A mate then told me of EFI diagnostic and repair centre at capalaba and he hooked it up and told me what was wrong with it in an hour or so and cost 1/10th the amount of cash the others were charging. just cause a place has a dyno doesn't mean they have any idea
