Somewhere in there is a list of engineers you can use.
Just don't make your car look very nice and you wont have trouble.

I recently did my own with same method Hank Scorpia used with the help of a heat gun as my paint is in good condition.
No cracked paint and clears my fat tyres.
Dez did a great job on my rear guards, but i do wish he could pull the guards out a bit more.

Check at the Ecu for pin 53 which is the speedo wire, test continuity to ground and work from there. I had something similar to this when my RSM was hooked up and overtime the join started to short to ground when cornering.

We don't often have sales on everything at once, but we'll get say 15% off computers this week, then 10% off TV's in 2 weeks time etc.
Anything in particular you were after? Feel free to PM me. I'm sure I could work out a deal for a fellow riceliner
no really after anything in particular at the moment. but its good to know if there are sales.

i did this for my old 33.
just used two hose clamps and tighten the pump to the bracket then got some fuel hose to attach that to the end of the pump with the correct fittings and the other end to put the filter sock on. Cant remember if i had to bend the bracket to fit the pump in.

If you REALLY want to be a mechanic (and think about it long and hard, cos its not for everyone!) then getting a job at a small independant place is the best place to start. You learn so much more then at a dealership. My first job on my very first day was helping a tech do a head on a Nissan S-Cargo! You get experience in a vast variety of cars, and learn just how shit Holdens really are! I worked at a small place in Malaga for a year, now work for Mazda. Mazda is great, much easier, but you dont learn as much as I did when I worked in Malaga.
Having said that, as soon as I'm qualified I'm getting the f**k out of there cos I HATE this industry! But like I said before, if you're made for it, then its a great career. I work with a few blokes who I know will work as a mechanic for years and years, yet at least 50% of my tafe class will quit within the first 5 years.
Finally, you dont want to start out at a performance workshop. Think a normal mechanic workshop is stressful? Performance is soooooo much worse...
Rhys, you really hate working in the industry don't you? What are you looking into next... an office job?

You might as well just work on your own car and do DIYs. If not you can do a light vehicle pre apprentice for basic knowledge of cars and servicing. I suggest you don't go through with an apprenticeship if you just want to do it as a hobby. Would be a waste of 3.5years with such stressful conditions for not much pay. =)

It will probably be the same as stock or better. Ebay aluminum radiators work a treat no problems with them so for a while.
-
hammer and punch to get it out.
-
Seen Julians work and prices are very cheap too. Getting my car done next week.
-
i think it would be cheaper to just replace it with a second hand one. Should be around $80 or less.
-
Yeah this happened to my mates car aswell, ended up replacing water pump and chucked in an alloy radiator. The housing just ripped apart, so assuming the water pump seized.
-
i've been using these types of wheel nuts for years, no problems at all. Can be a bit heavy. But doesn't cost much.
-
usually people put baffles like steel wool to stop the oil sloshing around, but otherwise most catch cans i have seen are just empty.
Should just buy a cusco or equivalent.
