  5. Hi Guys, I think the subject says it all but does anybody know where to get new rocker cover gaskets for a RB25det engine other than Nissan themselves? I rang Brighton Nissan today as I've been dealing with the guy there for years and he really looks after me price wise... well I hope he has, and he said that I'll be looking at $30.00 per side, there's actually 2, one for each cam but what I forgot to ask him was how much for the bolt seals coz they will also need replacing... no doubt. I'm not to sure if the gaskets will come with the bolt seals but I'm guessing not... not 100% sure though meaning that there's about 20 odd bolt seals probably worth $3- $4 dollars each? it starts getting a little expensive! What do you guys think? Does anyone know where to get new ones any cheaper with the bolt seals? Hope I don't sound like to much of a tight ass! Thanks, Gianni
  6. Hi int21h, do you think it made the car respond any better, go faster or any major differences? how much more fuel do you think it's making you use? Thanks, Gianni
  7. Thanks to all the reply's, I think that down the track when I decide to do a bit more tuning like boost & power fc, the pod will pay off... hopefully. I'm just deciding weather I should leave it on for now? will I be using any more fuel with it on and no S-AFC or power fc? I'm sure someone did mention that putting a pod filter on will make it run richer... who knows? Thanks again guys....
  8. Hi JimX, thanks for your info, I'm thinking of getting a Power FC down the track for extra tuning ability but money is always a problem as most of you will agree on that one! One thing I would really like to know is having the Apexi pod on rather than the standard air box, will you gain anymore power? I'm thinking I should have gotten a dyno done before & after to see what the results would have been!
  9. Hi all, I decided to buy the Apexi power intake pod filter which set me back $180.00 for the complete kit which I thought was reasonable and then installed it on the weekend which was a breeze to do as most of you would already know. What I would like to know from you other people out there is that for those of you that have fitted one of these pods, did you notice a slight decrease in power apart from the induction noise you get. I also know that your supposed to box the pod up to stop it from drawing hot air which I haven't done but is it maybe because it needs to be tuned for this type of filter? Will it make it run richer as well? Thanks guys, Gianni
  10. I'm in for a barbi, as long as after 1:00pm is not to late coz i'll be finishing work at that time and then heading straight down!
  11. Hi sumfatchin, So you definetly think that it made a difference? well thats good to hear! $200 is cheap dude, where did you get it from? did it come with the flanges or did you get it welded on?
  12. Actually I just thought of something that I'll do to keep peoples minds a little clearer. When I remove my original cat which I'm sure has never been changed from factory, I'll take pics of it and also take pics of the new high flow one before installing it, that way I'll be able to post the pics up for people to compare. I'm sure this may have been already done but just incase I'll do it again! Talk soon.....
  13. Hi Ron-15h, It cost me $265 delivered to Melbourne so I guess it's not to bad! Hello SydneyKid, When I purchased my car, the cat wasn't changed and the reason from the dealer was that bcoz it was a series 2 and it didn't need changing. He said that it passed the ADR standards and emission control. So do you still think I shouldn't have changed it? I'm basically covering myself and changing the whole system just to be sure. Do you think I'm doing the right thing by doing this? Regards, Gianni
  14. What a coincidence! I just recieved my hi flow cat today thanks to Batmbl. I ordered a 3" hi flow made be Catco which is also the largest one out of the lot being the 8lt one I think? Will let all know how it goes when I fit it and if it changes the exhaust note and performance! Cr34tion, there must be a hi flow cat available for your r34! I thought that the r33 one would bolt straight up? correct me if I'm wrong coz I'm not 100% sure!
  15. Hi Adrian_perth, what sort of a cat back system do you have on your car being so loud? and does anyone know the difference in having a 8lt 3" hi flow cat & a 5.5lt 3" hi flow cat? is the bigger one supposed to be better for exhaust flow? an explanation on this would be good! Thanks, Gianni
