  7. Can you take another clear shot of the centre guage surround? its a bit blurry.. i need to see detail. will it fit a 32 gtst?
  8. Hey guys, Im about to buy a FMIC for my r32 gtst rb20det. Is there a big difference in cooling and power for the Tube & Fin intercooler design over the Bar & plate? Cos i'm trying to justify spending double the amount for one of these tube & fin intercoolers, is it worth it?
  9. cheers BH slo32, Checking the computer pins 9 & 46 was the very next thing on my check list, i will probably do that today, seeing that its a public holiday.. I hope this is it.... Also i just replaced the water temp sensor near the firewall, and it fixed the sensor reading in diag mode, but done nothing to kick in the compressor
  10. Will the Z32 AFM fit on with the stock air filter box?
  11. -26 is your refrigerant temp sensor, i think? i had the same fault in my car. Take out your glove box (just two screws underneath the glove box), then have a look behind with a torch. you'll see the aircon box. look for any leaks or anything out of order (most likely one of the sensor connectors could be unplugged?) The refrigerant temp sensor connector plug is (black), its up on the top edge of the aircon box in the middle of 2 (white) connector plugs Best thing to do is have a look at the problem area physically first.
  12. yeah, im west of the city. You had any other problems with your car? Mines been pretty good except for this aircon.
  13. i know, and its killing me!!!!!!!!! I'm looking at buying my first house soon, but i cant help but want my car to beat porsches..
  14. thanks cubes. Hey, where abouts in SA are you? Ive been going to Synergy Motorsport at Medindie Gardens on main north road to try and get this aircon bullshit sorted. Im not sure if they still are PVP imports anymore aswell as Synergy?
  15. Cheers cubes, that sounds good. What is the FMIC? And how much would an rb25det turbo cost? And what about airfilters? I heard some people actually loose power after installing a pod filter over the stock airbox?
  16. Now ive just found out that my water temp sensor is showing up on the diagnostics check (No. 23 flashes) Would this sensor be enough to stop the compressor from kicking in? And also, is this sensor under the car?
  17. yeah im pretty sure i did replace that sensor. i had to remove the entire dash (which took a long time, but i was being careful not to damage anything, cos you so easily can) and then where the aircon box is behind the glove box, the sensor is one of the 3 connectors that sit on top of the aircon box. Its the left, white connector. The middle one is black (thats the refrigerant temp sonsor connector), and the right one is white (that connects back to the climate control unit). The actual intake air sensor is inside the aircon box (if you follow the wires you'll see). i had to pull the stuffed senor out (forcefully) by yanking the wire and dislodging the sensor. then i inserted my new second hand sensor (which i pulled from an old aircon box to get the spare intake sensor). i pretty much just had to let the sensor hang inside, cos otherwise i would of had to degas the whole system and then remove the aircon box and open it up. But i had just had it regased so i wasnt gonna do that.
  18. i have, but it was a while ago when i fixed the sensors. i might just check the diagnostics again to see what it reads now. i'll get back to you on that.
  19. yeah thats true. Well i bought the car completely stock, and all that i have done is changed the sespension (greddy adjustable coilovers) very nice, and Trust power extreme II exhaust system, 3.5" stainless cat, and 3" front pipe. sounds excellent!!
  20. yep. Thanks alot for your help man. I'll get to the bottom of this problem somehow..
  21. An AFC, is that the Air Flow Meter? is that the mod where people get that ZAFM? how much are they?
  22. yeah, i had the car at the mechanic today, and he told me that there was a problem of something not earthing somewhere. i think thats why the compressor kicks in when he bridged to the pressure switch from the negative terminal of the battery.
