  1. If we don't have to send heavy gear in the post across AUS that's generally preferred. Avoiding post at all costs is clearly better for both parties.

    Why get rid of a local classifieds where people can go and view the parts before purchase?!?

    Most eastern states crew dont want to buy from WA anyways! We are so isolated.

    Please remove the CLOSED on WA for sale section. - (YOU CAN STILL POST IN IT)

    Whoever's made the decision to consolidate all of AUS in one for sale thread, There's WAAAAY TOO MANY POSTS EACH DAY. People's posts get lost and it was a waste of time writing out a long-winded ad.

    Common Sense please..

    Thanks.

  3. Hi guys,

    I have a set of SuperSpark coilpacks for sale in good condition.

    $300.

    They will be the right ones for:

    * R33 RB25DE/T Series 2 (1995-1998)

    * R34 GTR RB26DETT

    * Stagea RB25DE/T - WGC34 RB25DE (1996-1997), WGNC34 RB25DE (1996-1997)and RB25DET (1996-1998).

    They are red and look pretty joy in the engine bay as well; with the center cover off obviously

    The reason for sale is that I'm going to be selling my car soon and have put the standard coils back in their place. I would rather someone get them on here than the juvie that will probably want to buy my car with his hard earned but small amount of cash =P This allows me to lower the price i'm selling my car for more justifiably!

    Used for 6 months in my car.

    I still have the box they came in, which they are living in now. They work great and I had no problems with them at all!

    The benefits over the factory items as stated by SuperSpark are:

    * More Power

    * Improved Combustion

    * Stronger Spark

    * Direct Replacement

    SuperSpark also claim to produce up to 10% more spark energy over standard coils resulting in increased ignition performance.

    I am located in Perth, very centrally south side.

    If you're in Perth you can come and grab them from my place!

    I am willing to post these out in Australia at the buyers expense but preffer not to. I will need payment before postage so you don't rip me off or I am happy to do COD if you get in before the Perth kids

    When I purchased these they were going for $499 RRP and i'll take $300 for them. I think $199 off for a set of great working coils is fair.

    Please PM me if interested! I don't want much hastle on my mobile as I work and go to uni. IF you feel you have to please SMS only - and don't get upset if it takes me a little time to reply..In your SMS could you please also put in your SAU username so I can PM you and know who's who, and if needed who got in first. Thanks!

    Cheers guys! :thumbsup:

  4. pics are up...............

    and yes it does come with actuator

    What type of flange does this use? t3 or t4?

    How many k's has the turbo done roughly? why're you selling it?

    Im guessing these are the specs of the turbo you have:

    Compressor Housing Air Ratio

    0.7

    Compressor Wheel Inducer Size (mm)

    52.78

    Compressor Wheel Trim

    48

    Turbine Wheel Exducer Size (mm)

    46.95

    Turbine wheel Trim

    76

    If they're different, can you let me know what they are?

    Regards,

    Rhys

  5. Hi mate that was very helpful. Thank you very much you confirmed my suspicions =) I have a boost controller so i'm going to turn the boost down to 0.5bar for now so it's manageable for the ecu. I will be looking into aftermarket ecu's in the near future, as i have a very free flowing intake and exhaust.

    If you could send me an email with some info and pricing on vipec and autronic ecu's that would be great, i'l pm you my email.

    Thanks again.

    Rhys

  6. Yeah mate, if you're not getting spark you're never going to start the engine =P as the previous kids mentioned check the loom and connections, also check the grounding on the loom. If you have an ignitor module check that. Bust out the multimeter and check that you are getting power and signal properly to the pins back to the ecu if need be, you gotta find out why. Obviously check the ignition =P

    As there's no spark from the coils it means it's not the plugs too, it's at or most likely before the coils (before if all coils aren't firing pretty much)

    Good luck!

  7. Hey guys, I have a 32 gts4 that I recently put a RB25DET from a Stagea in and shes trying to be difficult.

    Trying to have it boosted up, all supporting mods, straight dump, no cat, cooler etc.

    Pretty much its missing hard on any boost above 0.5 bar, but above it also feels like the ecu is taking away bulk power and timing after about 3500rpm, like its trying to pull but literally going no where, no torque, kills it pretty much, then if i persist itl surge a few times (bludgeoning its way through the revs) power comes back on after popping n missing like crazy probably around 5000-5500rpm and it peels hard. so wtf?

    I read a previous post from a few years ago on this forum and they talked of afm and afr getting silly after 10psi factory, where the ecu will then retard timing and bust in the fuel safe rich (which i think it could perhaps be, i'm going to wind the boost down to 0.5 bar again and see) even though i want to run at least 0.7-0.9bar cos she peels =P Im pretty sure it's the air flow rate and not the boost directly, however winding the boost down will reduce the volume going past the afm.

    Thinking i need an AECU and this should rectify it in a couple months when ive got another $1000 to $14000 free, woo..

    I thought originally it could be the afm, so i have a new afm n thats gravy. even have a new fuel pump. pretty sure its rich and retarding and thus i'm running low boost for a little bit, bah. Any more ideas or confirmation would be aces.

    Cheers guys!

  8. Stock ECU has both 'Rich and Retard' PLUS 'air flow cut'.

    1. Rich and retard is triggered by excessive cylinder knock only. When knock level threshold is exceeded the ECU richens AFR and retards igntion. Once R&R has been triggered the ECU then will attempt to reinstate AFR and ignition advance back to normal until it detects knock again. It is designed to protect engine against bad or incorrect fuel and internet mechanics.

    2. Air flow cut is triggered when AFM voltage exceeding threshold voltage. Air flow cut starts at 4000rpm and threshold increases as a function of rpm up to about 5000 rpm. When it triggers, it cuts fuel and ignition...It is designed to protect against boost control failure...overboosting from broken WG actuator etc...also provides protection against internet mechanics...

    So there you go...a bit of truth for you amongst the fog...

    RECENT POST 8/3/10

    Did a search as i'm quite sure my series 2 RB25det from a stagea is giving me the old AFM bs. I'm gona wind it back again and see if it hopefully fixes it. I'm still thinking my ecu is playing a bit of silly buggers. When I have the spare cash its getting aftermarket, and that afm is getting pissed off. bane of my existence, afm issues with my 32! =P

    Also what the original guys issue was, mine is quite similar. RB25det ser2 from stagea into 32 gts4, got a 25 ecu, not thinking its running it properly? difference between ecus? (didn't think so) or over boosting (which im gona wind back looks like i can only get away with 0.5 bar? this seems a little low? Stil gona wind it back and see. Any more ideas? would be very very much appreciated!

    Cheers guys!

  9. I would add that the boost level is completely irrelevant. It’s all about airflow, the standard ECU couldn’t care less about boost. An example, my Stagea ran just fine at 10 psi with the standard turbo, but when I stuck the high flow on it hit savage R&R mapping, but still at 10 psi. Why? Because the GCG Ball Bearing High Flow has more AIRFLOW at 10 psi than the standard turbo.

    So repeat after me

    BOOST IS IRRELEVANT

    :cool: cheers :ermm:

    More boost, more volume of air going past your afm = very relevant =P whether that be a bigger turbo or more boost..
