  1. Hi all, Looking for C210 Skyline strut bodies and hubs. I don't need calipers, discs, strut tops or strut inserts. Can get away without the hubs if I can't get them. Please let me know what you have, or where I might be able to find them. If there are other models with the same strut leg, I'd be interested as well (I know 240K aren't the same on the caliper mounts). Located in outer-western Sydney, but willing to travel a reasonable distance if needed. Can organise pickup from Canberra/Melbourne if needed too. Thanks
  2. No need to tell me that. I've been competing for 21 years and have picked up a few state and national class titles along the way. If I'm going to spend that much time with it, I at least need to be able to look at it in the morning. Having grown up with Renaults, most Jap stuff is easy to work on and (relatively) well balanced. Rather than go out and buy one, then find out it's all wrong, I'm trying to work out what the starting point is and what I can do to "fix" it's shortfalls. If it's too much of a hassle, I'll probably update what I already have, as they're a known quantity and easy to get good speed out of. I know exactly how fast an S12 can be in the forest and on the track. I've run against the black S13 and wasn't impressed by it. I like the sound of a NA Nissan 6 at full throttle, and I have a soft spot for Skylines. If it's workable, I might start on it. If not, there are other options.
  3. Problem is that (IMO) the S13s are butt ugly. Screamin - Any idea what the weight split is? Have you done corner weights? I haven't managed to find the weight split info anywhere (not that I've looked too hard). I'm assuming that the RB20 wouldn't be that much lighter than the RB25???
  4. Thanks Shane. I'm guessing you'll come out at around the same weight after the cage (but without the factory seats and the fuel), so that's good news. Let us know when you do get around to weighing it. I love MSNZ rules. CAMS is so restrictive.
  5. Have you thought about SBS ceramic or carbon ceramic? They certainly seem to handle high temps. A bit light on for low-temp bite, but not as bad as a DS2500 in that area.
  6. Hi all, I've been a forum member for a year or two, but have only been lurking until now. Apologies if this is in the wrong area. I'm thinking about building an R32 GTS for rallying. You're probably wondering why N/A. Basically beacuse I can build it lighter and it doesn't need huge amounts of grunt. A GTR is out of the question because the minimum weight is way too high (1590kg) Now for a heap of questions.... How light can you reasonably expect to build an R32? We're allowed to strip interior, remove sound deadening etc, but it would have a comprehensive cage and seam welding, plus a few other strengthening things done. The minimum weight for the capacity is 1030kg, but I'd be happy if I could get it under 1200kg. If I can't get it under 1200, I'd consider building a GTS-T instead. What will an RB25DE safely rev to? I've been told that RB25DEs have a cast crank. Are the RB25DET or RB26DETT cranks steel? If so, will one of them slot in, and does the RB26DETT have the same stroke? Will GTR throttle bodies/manifold bolt on to an RB25DE head? If so, what throat and port diameters are they? What should I reasonably expect to pay for an R32 GTS landed in aus, for rally only? If anyone has a GTS rolling shell that they want to get rid of, I'd like to hear from you. Also, a couple of years back, I met a bloke from the Blue Mountains that was running a dark silver GTS-T with GLT sponsorship (at a state motorkhana @ Nirimba). If he could make himself known to me, I'd be really grateful. Thanks.
