Hey,
I got a RB20DET in a silvia.
Just drove my car seems to be alot of steam or clear smoke not white coming from what seems to be around the rocker covers.....what could this be does not show on the temp dial thats its overheating.
But is has caused the car to stall twice so far and it wont kick over until you leave it for 5 mins.
I need any help i can get ASAP.

Turbo in Near New condition not even 1mm of shaft play...im always pulling my car apart to service it and keep it running good.
This car is very quick i can take you for a test drive it has insurance on it still but has just run out of rego....this car is very quick.
Pictures: yes.....the picture of the car was before it had the dent i dont have any recent pictures...and cant get any for 6 weeks open for inspections...i got a price quote to fix it ages ago it was $800.
i can get my hands on some Tein Electronically adjustable coilovers with controller and cage.....for right person for a rea; good price!
Basically if i dont get the price im after...i will just keep it cause i can drop coils and cage in for damn cheap.

Got 6 coilpack out of my RB20DET i know one of them is going as it starts to mis fire under hard acceleration.
I got quoted $90 from a wreckers per coilpack second hand and i did not feel like paying that much...he is one of the largest wreckers in NSW and he says hes running out of them.

Skyline R32in great condition nice and low, has GTR front bar aswell as side skirts and a small rear bar....engine is in perfect condition runs well just like a RB20DET should.
Look very clean and low....very smooth ride.

Im not sure if u missed the part where i said "guessing"
im guessing around the 6 grand marks as i can generally tell what rev range its in by the sound of the car and compares the sounds to my mates RB20DET cars.
in second gear ut starts at 70kph when i max out at 100kph in 2nd.

I thing is i dont get my back fire at the mark i get mine at high revs not medium revs......thats why im thinking it wont be the coil my mechanic did not say it would never be them just that the chance is slim and i should try sparks plugs first.
If its not the spark plugs i will check the coils.

I think the it would be a close race stock for stock.
I raced a R33 gtst he had same mods as me really like front mount, exhaust, fuel pump etc cause i sorta know him.....i beat him from 50kph rolling start to 180kph and i got a RB20DET in my silvia at 10psi and i short shifted each gear due to my misfire problem.
But we have a mate with WRX manual and that hoots.

Well by the sounds of it ur car looks like it has had some work done to it by one of the Mines garages over there or it could of been all setup via another garage and the previous owner just wanted Mines parts or he could of installed them himself with his mates in his backyard.

Hey mate,
Yes it did take it for a good drive on the weekend.....we put water in the radiator just then it it came gushing out the side of the block at the bottem there was white smoke from the exhaust aswell but there is now none.
