  1. Well I just had an R33 FMIC kit put into my 32, the only problem was the pipe that goes in front of the fan was too big so it was rubbing against the bonnet and hitting the fan, so had it modified and it fits fine. Shouldn't be to hard going from a 32 to a 33 kit only the piping going into the plenum may need some minor mods.

  2. The friction point is about three quarters from the floor and it will shudder if you put any load on it. I'm basically dumping the clutch with plenty of throttle to get off the line its a pretty quick takeoff all the time, reversing is bad I engage the clutch quickly and push it back in over and over to go about 3kph. For changing 1-2-3-4 its great much quicker than an organic.

Do you have the stock viscous diff in it?

Yeah I do would this be a problem anyone, Simmy do you use the stock diff?

The place where I had it fitted didn't machine the flywheel is this important?

  3. Yeah I just got one of these Excedy hd ceramic cushion button clutches last week and now I'm regretting it, do you guys find it impossible to get off the line smoothly!!!!.

I need advice on using it, I have been giving it about 20% throttle and letting out the clutch as quickly as possible otherwise it shudders badly and feels like I'm damaging it. I'm always chug chugging of the line hoping that i dont snap a gear. Do I just need practise cos I've tried everything I can, maybe an organic clutch is better for me.

NYTSKY how do you live with it for street driving??

  4. Its not like Nissan would've grabbed some VQ35DEs chucked on some turbos aftermarket style and bored them out. The engineers would've completly redesigned the engine, its been spotted all over the US driving around while engineers log info on the engine and improve it. They test it for reliability buy literally sitting them on the rev limiter until they blow, seeing what failed first and upgrading it.

The main point is will it be better than the RB26? and stock it will almost put out twice the power

  5. Hey guys in the market for an R32 and have found a mint one, but just wondering about the RB20 silvertop.. is this the stock engine for the series? Car is 1989 R32, with an RB20 silvertop obviously. Is the silvertop any different from the other R32 engines? And if so does it have potential... with a realistic budget ofcourse.

    Cheers.

No that isn't the stock motor only later model 32 gtst's had the silver top NICS Rb20, it is a good thing though as it is better than the red top ECCS Rb20 which is the stock motor for the car. The silver top has bb turbo and rated at a bit more power.

As for potential Rb20s are good for stage 1 mods like exhaust, bit of boost, ECU, gives about 160-170rwkw.

Turbo, intercooler, fuel pump, AFM, injectors gives 200+kw but they lack torque and people usually dont bother and dump them for rb25s

  6. thanx heaps guys, can you hear it while your idling Matt?

Has anyone upgraded their fuel pump on their 34??

Nope but my exhaust is pretty loud

Steve at AMMAR did mine he built the brackets and mounts, did a quality job, you can listen to it next cruise
