  1. Yes mate, Indeed it is. I baught the plates very cheap guys, I myself wouldnt be paying a mark up of 860%. My mate got the numberplate 'the-one' for $1900 so there are definetly better plates out there for this price. IF it was this easy to make money, I would be doing it as a job;) Anyway, Goodluck to him. Dayne
  2. Rebuild the engine and move on. The seller shouldnt have to pay for something that you didnt spend the time and money getting tests conducted on in the first place. $100 could of saved you $1000's in this case. Maybe you'll remember that next time. I know if the owner of my old car which was purchased a month ago came and told me it would need a rebuild, i wouldnt pay jack all. Goodluck mate. Dayne
  3. Its to do with your post count, you can change it in your personal settings... Dayne
  4. Totally agree Slim!! Good to hear your going to do the right thing maximumrpm, not trying to take sides either, as i would be fckn pissed off if i was in your shoes.. but sometimes its just easier to get a refund and be done with it. Saves you the hassles for later on. Dayne
  5. Mate, why dont you save yourself the bullshit? Face it, you made oscar sound like a un-honest guy, why would he want to help you out anymore? Complete your business, give him your bank details, and be done with it. Obviously he had a honest excuse, and obviously you had a good reason to complain, be done with each other, and buy your parts from someone else. Simple. Dayne
  6. You could start with the over all body condition, great place to start is the interior, make sure its immaculate. Check the gaurds, and all pannels infact for rust or file marks. New paint sometimes covers up accident repairs that could have happened. Best bet is to get a leak down test on the rb25 and a compression test, this will give you more of an indication of the condition of the car and the life its had. Goodluck finding a r32 gts25 in canberra.. they are so rare as it is. It took me 2 days to sell my non turbo r33 here in canberra... and it also took a mate 2 days to sell his non turbo s13 siliva.. both for good money, thats how bad the supply is vs demand. Dayne
  7. Baught from them, they were excellent. One year ago 18" Rims with tyres for $1500 i think with lock nuts. St george tyres arent bad either, way cheaper them tempe, not quiet as much range. VERY fast response too via email. www.stgeorgetyres.com Usually when your keen on buying something though, you ring up, order them (like i did) and pay via credit card or another alternative and they'll send them out to you. Not many genuine buyers purchase items via email. Think you'll find too when you pay for them they send you down a fax, you fill it in, sign it etc etc, and thats your security for the purchase. Dayne
  8. You cant think like that though. When i do something i always factor in every consideration. Example ~ turbo kit done correct, but cylinder #3 was down on compression to begin with. Tune etc done, airfuel ratios fine - though motor only lasts 6 months as it cannot handle the extra boost on an already worn cylinder. Your up for a rebuild. What a complete waste of money! Sure lots of cars have been turbo'd in the past and lots of them worked for quiet some time. But on the other hand, lots of cars have been turbo'd before... lots of them worked for a period of time. But lots of them blew up! BTW ~ no one ever said it was anything to do with being a skyline or not. To answer your first point too, if i were to have 2 cars. Car 'a' is a r34 gt-t with exhaust, pod filter, fmic $32k sells.. and takes days. car 'b' is a r34 gt+t with exhaust, pod filter, ecu, fmic, custom this and that, non turbo brakes, engineered. Though complied as a 'r34 gt'. This one for $31k Sells.... but takes months. Sure anycar would loose value if you pumped mods into it, but at the end of the day when the 'future' buyer looks at the car and realises it was non turbo, they 'might' start to question a few things.. and might decide to go for a factory turbo. Dayne
  9. Since you dont want a stock engine swap, or half cut. The only other 'proper' option you have to do is, sell your car, put in 6.5k and have a car thats factory turbo that will hold its value significantly more. Since your car is stock, your going to be alot better off. If your car had custom bodykit, interior + paint the story might be different. Turboing a NA car will always be risky, when done right it can be miles better IMO. My brother turbo'd his old honda civic VTi-R and it was fantastic. Sometimes people get lucky, sometimes people dont though. One small fuel problem you could kiss your 6.5k + stock engine goodbye. Something to think about.... i thought about turboing my old NA r33 skyline, but the wise thing to do was sell it.. and upgrade.. and im far better off now, even though i might not have a nissan anymore. Dayne
  10. Sure do man, Figured out a price for the boost gauge yet?? Pics are posted here... and i'll email them too: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30/lo_r33/SSQ2.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30/lo_r33/SSQ1.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a30/lo_r33/SSQ3.jpg Dayne
  11. Firm on $100 + postage. The wing for sale is similar to a Series II wing, with higher sides, and no LED light. Excellent condition:) Reason for sale ~ No longer have an R33 Attached is a picture of it. Dayne
  12. Hey guys, If anyone has an apexi boost gauge laying around let me know. Price. Pictures would be good. Im after a white face. Pref in PSI, but happy with BAR as well. Dayne
  13. You didnt list it but i upgraded from my r33 to a wrx. I would buy either. 2006 WRX STi Or Evolution 9:D Dayne
  14. No, as far as im aware it activates after 80kmph and only at sometimes? Your hicas light should light up when you turn the car on, only for a second though. Look underneath your car as previous owner might have removed it and took the light out. It should look like a little motor thing bolted onto the back of your diff. Dayne
  15. Ok to clear things up because i had a non turbo skyline exactly like this, except a 1995 manual. the engine is this Rb20E Sohc 1998cc. It came in both Series 1, 1.5, and series 2 skylines. They were actually built this way, both manual and automatic, ive even seen 4 doors with these engines inside them. Goodluck with the sale mate:) Dayne
  16. Its possible mate, it'll remain rear wheel drive, they just swap the sumps as far as im aware, they might possibly have to use an adaptor plate. Not to sure, but definetly can be done. There was a gts (non turbo) which had been converted to twin turbo rb26dett for sale a few months back for $19000. So definetly can be done with no problem at all. Dayne
  17. You can buy mine for cheap and i garantee it opens, sell your old one to someone with bigger boost. Dayne
  18. Ok, Someone give me an offer around $100, and i'll take it. Dayne
  19. Yeah, It'll sound at even 4-5psi, depends on how hard you set it. Dayne
  20. at the end of the day, you be a cheap arse, your car will be cheap. when i was looking for cars, i was looking at them 2000 less then what they should of been, and guess what they were all rust buckets and had been flogged. at the end of the day, your going to have 2 fly over to wa to inspect the car, and come back which will be minimum 1000 even if you make the purchase, so why dont you add that 1000 to your price tag and buy one locally worth 12500. i went to sydney the other weekend to look at wrxs, and seriously the amount of skylines along paramatta road was unbelievable. if you up it to this range, you have a better chance of finding one you can perform all the tests in the world you want on, and if its not the right one you havent just wasted a 1000 plane ticket there and back. just something to consider. and also, a r33 gts25 type S for 8000, god damn you got a bargin! They are devaluing as much as a ford falcon does these days, im so glad i got out of mine when i did... before it lost too much value. Dayne
  21. Are you awake man? Or are you still dreaming... I sold my non turbo R33 RB20E for $12000 mate! EVen that is out of your price range, it was a 1995. Though it had rims on it, it had high kms, (150,000) though atleast they were genuine, new clutch, 18's, in car tvs etc etc. But seriously... if you think your going to get a REALLy really clean r33 gts25 for 8-11k your kidding yourself. For that price i know of one going in melbourne for 9500 but your going to be stuck with a non m spec, automatic, peice of shit really. Danny, your cars automatic though man, theyre worth alot less then what a manual non turbo is worth, remember that. Ideally Veeedka you should probably look at an automatic or a r32 for that price range. An r33 gts25 (because of the high demand now cause of restrictions) sell almost as much as a turbo, upwards of 12500 for a decent example anyway. Specially if its not a 1993 model. Goodluck with your battle on finding a skyline on that budget, mine sold within 24hours of advertising it  And many others were interested too.. so it seems to me that maybe i infact even under priced my car. Dayne
  22. Bought a hks style ssq bov, comes with adaptor plate 25mm inlet, and all connections, 2 ft vaccume hose. had trumpet + plum back adaptor if you wish to run it.
