  1. my 32 came from japan with the dryer removed and put in the boot, so my system is def empty lol

As far as i know, the whole retro fit rip off is just changing 2 fittings on the ac lines.

Tell me why the funk that costs another 200 bucks, come on.

Prove me wrong and i will be quite happy, but for now i think that this retro fitting, oh no mate it will have to be converted, is just peaking my rage meter into the red !

  2. thanks to everyone for all your input and help, its much appreciated.

Roy iam runiing 17 inch wheels.

I dont want to spend brembo conversion money, just looking for a bigger disk that i can dogbone to fit.

Fully floating or brembo would be great but i dont want to spend 1500 upwards.

I guess i was hoping to get some disks and make them fit for about 600 bucks.

Cooling ducts from the front lip are the plan, to help ease the pain.

    Any more suggestions welcomed......

  3. thanks for the input GTR32.

I want to go bigger for heat dissapation as i have cracked my cross drilled disks. I'm running Ferodo DS2500 pads, which pull the thing up very well on the track, but as with most GTR's they brakes get very hot.

The pads cope very well with the heat, but the disks dont. I guess i could go better quality disks as the ones i cracked are whatever was on the car when i got it.

I'm going to put ducts to them too, but thought i would consider a bigger disk if i could while i was at it.

  4. All,

I'm in the process of trying to source larger diam disks to put on my R32 GTR.

I want to keep the standard calipers, so i'm looking at the 324 R34 GTR ones.

I need brackets or " dogbones" for these and wondered if anyone knew where to get em ( have tried roguepi but he seems pretty hard to get the hold of )

Anyone else who has gone other directions, pls feel free to suggest.....

There are a few other brands of disks ( bmw, audi ) that i could use, but then i'd have to get dogbones made, and thats more $$.

    Input appreciated

    Thanx

  5. just thought i'd add what i heard, for my two cents worth.

My 32 gtr arrived from japan running 1.6 bar ( yikes ) it surged under full power like a muther funker. Since i have turned it down ( blitz dual sbc ) to 1 bar, it doesnt do it so bad. Stuff i have read says that its a pretty common prob with gtr's running more boost ( and or, aftermarket turbos) on a standard manifold.

Power fc may help a little ( i think you already have one "gun" )

But anyway thats what i heard.

  6. dude, i have had 2 mates with WRX's that had exactly the same thing. Lots of donuts ( on grass lol ) then heavy steering. BOTH of them had f*ked their pumps.

Dont ask me how, but wheelspin plus steering lock seemed to make too much stress for the pumps.

My money is on the fact that your impeller in the pump isnt turning anymore.

    New pump time.

  7. very wise advice above dude. my car has cost me as much as a mates who payed 6 grand more in the first place. His is on the road, and mine still hasnt passed the pits.( was too low, too loud, tint too dark, chassis rail slightly squished...)

Take your time, and dont fall in love, be harsh, its all money to sort out.

  8. yep, seems like you are in tha hands of the ods when you go over. Maybe my car would have passed if my inspector got lucky the night before !

Tein HA's are what i was considering. Hows the ride with them guys ? Still got all your teeth ? I wont be doing any country stuff so i think they will be ok for me.

  9. thanks for the quick reply, good to know. Now i just need to make the decision, are they gonna be too stiff on the road and uneven surfaces ? I plan to do some events at AHG and wanneroo, but i dont want my teeth to fall out on the way :P

Height adjustability is what is swaying me.
