  1. All fixed FYI for Stagea owners and probally most wagon boot setups: It ended up being the latch that wasn’t working rather than the motor that pulls the boot shut. FYI if your looking to pull off the inside cover to the boot, the plastic part that goes around the window (mine is grey) has no screws it just popes in and out. The carpet section has about 8 little screw type things that go around the sill. Assuming you can’t open the boot (like my issue) you can pop off the plastic cover and pull the carpet section back and push down on the latch at the bottom and the boot will open. Basically there is a metal little arm that pushes down on the lock as you lift the latch. Mine had fallen out and was sitting at the bottom of the door. Cheers
  2. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and can help me. I have a 1998 Stagea and I’m having trouble with the boot being stuck shut Basically there is a little motor that pulls the boot shut if you don’t close it fully (great idea I have to admit). It has been working fine for the last few months but today I closed the boot and I heard the normal whirring noise it makes to pull it fully shut. But this time it sounded like it jammed. Now I can’t open the boot at all. I don’t think it’s the lock as I can lock and car and it makes the same clunking noise and the boot release handle goes light. When I unlock and car again (simular clunking noise) the handle is heavy and it feels like it’s moving the parts latch but the boot doesn’t move. I’m assuming the motor is stuck half way still trying to pull the boot shut or something? I have put pressure on the boot to try and force it shut (although it looks fully shut) I have looked to see if I can take the inside cover off and check out the parts but the screws are around the inside sill therefore I can’t get to them. The only other thing I have tried is disconnecting the battery to see if it would reset the motor…no joy. Has anyone had this before (and fixed it) or does anyone have any ideas Thanks in advance
