  1. 7>6 any day... 6 are too outdated I've heard of guys running upt o 260kw or more in 7s as long as you don't have a huge torque curve it'll last It's actually the quick torque from responsive power setups that generally kill the rods however to rebuild forged 2.4litre engine is cheaper than rebuilding a forged 2litre I'm a HUGE 5 fan, but they are way to outdated now plus to mod them they cost more than the newer models EVO's are on par easily with GTR's, well the ct9a anyway Few of the evolutionoz.net guys have weighed them and they come up to about 1450kg with half tank of full (about 29litres LOL) different cars, the gtr being longer is less 'nimble' so the evo with feel lighter anyway they heavy cars, the only really light ones are the RS's

Nope 7s have a 5 speed which is a little stronger as the syncros are a bit bigger But it only matters on 300kw and above, actually easy to crack that power however Talk to me when you scrape crossmembers Golf <3 Haha sticky tape is good too, need to only put on one side, whether it be left/right, underneath or on its back and runs the opposite of where its stuck lol This, evo is a more 'responsive' car generally GTR isn't full time 4wd like the evo and its bigger engine with twin turbos it far less responsive than a evos twin scroll I'd suggest later than 6 if you plan on modding and its primarily a street car, from 7 on wards $350 to retune factory ecu from Burnzy compared to swapping for a new ecu like power fc etc or changing to a 7 ecu into the 6 (about $3k if i remember correctly plus tuning) Also the AYC diff is so easy to drive with, and its a newer car better interior/nicer looking etc etc
  5. Haha those are 8s with nose chops they take the middle part of the bar off and makes it look heaps better, sort of like a 9 see original 8 bar that weird shit in middle makes it look like a magna

  7. 20psi? haha try 25psi for daily duties, mine was on 24psi they run insane amounts of boost..... I know built engines that daily on 32-36psi Yeah I picked it up cheap too, but price was shit due to the km's on car. However they were pretty much all highway cause of where I live Apparently it's frequents Lygon like crazy now too, few people I know always see it there. IMO stay away from late 6.5 and 7s they tend to have weak rods for some reason early 6.5 are fine but I'm not sure exactly when they changed the rods in them, but if your going to build engine doesn't matter And the rods are fun to about 240awkw anyway But go from a 7 on wards, the ecu's can be remapped instead of needed a piggy back or standalone ecu like the earlier models (you can mod a 7 on wards ecu into earlier models however) But 7 on wards do feel less 'race' oriented while driving, much more refined car so its a better streeter

  15. I would say you should be able to, they should only be bolted or clamped to the strut Seems to be strange if they were welded etc Compared to the HTC I was using anything is better LOL However originally I had a Galaxy and was great this is heaps better than that already though

  18. Yeah that's what I want, reception. Optus has a tower 5mins away from my house, and I still don't get reception some days :S not really both Optus and Telstra have $80 plans, and most people would think Optus cheaper but there plan comes in at $2016 over 24months and Telstra is at $1920 Also Telstra has free to talk from 7pm to 7am during weekdays and all day weekends where as Optus don't on theirs. The only thing Optus give you is $50 more calls (makes no difference with free talk, and .5gb extra data which I never use all mine cause I'm usually on wifi anyway) Yeah that's what I hate most, especially because phone is used for work calls too
