  1. need some cheap tyres

    need some cheap rims

    will need 12 new pads...

firstly though i need to get this light coating of cement dust off the bloody car...

60 seconds maximum on the skidpan for one run at lunch time. You'll be fine without all that stuff ;)

You guys just come along and I'll sort out an easy course for you both and a stopwatch to see which Tung-Yep R34 is the quicker one whenever it suits you both

Oh, also need to open up the betting books haha

  2. Yeah that's not a bad one, here's the current selection in case anyone wants to update theirs

Edit; crap seems they haven't uploaded in high quality. If anyone wants any specific ones send me your email and I'll forward them on. The files I have here show crystal clear on a 52' tv so don't worry they're big/quality files

  3. Yeah stockies are pretty skinny... The 17s super fugly rims might fit.... Trial and error I guess.... Anything else really needed on the day? Or just turn up and make an ass of myself?

Have a good breakfast, we have bbq for lunch. Also a few of the regulars go to dinner after at a local steak place, you're welcome to come along - we start eating about 6pm and finish by 8pm so you'll be getting home a bit later but it's totally your call. That goes for anyone really, any club members come along and budget $50 for food and a drink or two

Bring a hat and sunscreen if you're prone to sunburn. Other than that - just turn up and don't be afraid to ask questions if you aren't sure what to do. It's very straightforward in the morning though; get there with time to spare, find a spot for your stuff, empty the car out and put the wheels on you want to use, then join the line for scruitineering and sign on (license check etc, bring club membership card), then go back to your spot and wait for drivers brief.

EDIT: Don't forget to bring the correct clothing for driving (long sleeves and enclosed shoes etc as in the supp regs)

  4. If you remove the swivel from the bottom that will leave a smooth surface and if your lucky enough it will fit straight in, if not you could make a sleeve

you would have to measure it all and see

    but something to think about

I think I found the solution, they have a fitting similar in a way to what you've said. I've been meaning to swing by MSCN for the last few days but haven't had the time.

Hows your R34 build? Texi ready? (secretly hoping, I love watching you belt the shit out of the courses at Texi haha)

  5. Just to confirm, you've got an 044 in there already, working without drama, and you want to replace it?

Also, in case someone has been telling you porkies; an 044 in tank WILL support 400rwkw so it wont have a drama with 210kw. So if you've been told it needs to be changed in order to support 210rwkw - change tuners.

The pump he/she might be talking about is the Supra JZA80 fuel pump - hard to know though because you don't have a part number for what you're proposing.

  6. Go to your local $2 shop and buy a doona/thick blanket. Put that over the back seat if you can't be bothered taking the seat out. That will protect your seat fabric. Then put a jack in, and fill the rest with wheels haha. If you're heading down with a mate (or have someone coming who will let you borrow theirs) then I'd suggest bringing one jack and sharing it

  7. I was planning on leaving some "fat lines" :P can't wait for this event :D first SAU outing!!

Haha that's fine - they're encouraged in a big way!

Just the start line for the GTW at the last Texi, when I inspected it in the morning, still had the lines from the Texi before - so I'll go have a look and see if the weather has taken care of that and report back. The rest of the skidpan doesn't matter because other users of the facility wear our lines off the surface.

Either way, there's PLENTY of space for beating some tyres into a warm and smoky submission
