  1. If all else being equal, oil pressure is inversely proportionate to flow rate, the higher the pressure the lower the flow. You are starving your engine of precious oil during startup and before oil temp is up to operation temp.
  2. This same guy that sell NGK platinum & iridium plugs in ebay also sell Redline oil. Ebay posting
  3. Do check with Harold from performancelub.com they do supply Mobil, Royal Purple & some other stuffs.
  4. Wow, they do have alot of brands there. How much is their Redline selling?
  5. You mean after warmup and >20min driving, you got oil temp of 70'c? A normal engine after warmup need about 80-90'c oil temp to effectively burn off combustion by product/water that get's in the oil. Anyway where did you live where temp drop to -40'c?
  6. A 0wXX zero rate engine oil like Mobil 1 0w40, Castrol Syntec 0w30 or anything that start with zero in front of the SAE engine oil viscosity.
  7. Oil filter is suppose to be hand tight, not torqued.
  8. The sound came on due to lack of lubrication in the fuel pump, you can either put Redline SI-1 in your petrol tank or buy some ashless motorbike 2T, added 50-100ml and it will do the trick.
  9. Your platnium is shot! New fine wire platnium should look like this
  10. Have you found a UOA kit yet? Which company are you senting for analysis? I'm now using Wearcheck usa
  11. What's your avg oil temp? A general rule of thumb is to increase oil viscosity by a grade if oil temp increase by 10'c.
  12. Remember to check your colder plug for fouling... NGK FAQ
  13. It actually depends, try to get hold of a UOA (used oil analysis) kit which someone here mention for $40 a shot. The analysis will tell you if the oil is good to go or not.
  14. Check out this website: performancelub.com I think they are not fully operational yet??? Tried emailing them but no response. Interesting pricing though.
  15. Yes, thicker oil do have increase sound damping properties but that's beside the point. The important consideration will still be the engine oil temp in considering type of viscosity to be used.
  16. Basically your oil temp will determine your engine viscosity choice, if you are frequently over 110'c then the 50wt oil will be more suitable then the 40wt. If you are running below avg 90'c oil temp then a 30wt oil would work just as fine.
  17. Sometime cheap is not necessary bad and expensive is not necessary good. The key is to choose the correct form, fit and function that cater to your engine. The BCP6ES are without the V groove, choose the BKR6E-11 (gap down when necessary) which cost around there too.
  18. Yah think you have got yourself some hot plugs, put it ip in ebay and sell at half the cost. At least you can recover something back.
  19. At least you know that Nulon doesn't work very well for your ride.
  20. Kendall is made by Conoco, pretty cheap and good. Mostly group III oil though.
  21. Try the Mobil 1 again but 15w50 imo is maybe too thick. Try the M1 0w40, good stuffs.
  22. MT-90 should be used in the gearbox and lightweight shockproof or 75w90 in the diff.
  23. No, oil filter magnet does work. Just find some used harddisk magnet and stick it around your oil filter, it will trap tiny microns of metal particles going through the oil filter.
