Cars all over the world are frequently having the wheels rotated front to back to even out tyre wear. I'm thinking a front rim and rear rim is something like a right handed and left handed screwdriver.

You didn't have to measure your rims, they are both 18 inches rims, 8 inches wide with a 30 offset. What were you measuring when you were trying to find discrepancies between the rims?

Looks like the only thing you need to sort out is a matching set of rubber for them.

But if this was just a troll post, good job mate you got me.

Each pair of the wheels are probably from a different batch or a different time when manufactured

Maybe my G35 was after the recall, and had the fix included (late 2003), due to G35 complaints from US, OR maybe the original Japanese owner had used the recall to get a better/fixed dash; although I dont think sun damage was much of an issue in Japan. Either way, I am annoyed my 370GT has a dodgy dash, and my 5 year older 350GT was impeccable. I have ordered a dash fix kit to hopefully fix the issue, and also have a custom dash mat to stop it from getting worse now, or happen again in the future, after I use the fix kit. Its in the mail, so no endorsement.

anyone else try the  above? Supercheap have a ceramic single stage fix product, but the reviews are not great.

Hi there.  I sent photos to the above company, before I replaced my dash. They replied saying that there repair kit would not do the job. My dash was also starting too separate on the edges.

  3. I suspect that maybe the A,B,C on the part numbers. The G35 dash cracked a lot. The G37 got sticky. The A dash was manufactured too dry. Then the B dash was manufactured too moist to avoid cracking which didn't work, hence the sticky mess. Then C dash hopefully was made with the correct mix of plastics and resins. So, I've decided not to apply too much protection, because maybe the sticky issues were also related to over use of protection products.

Just my thought's on the issues ?

  4. Regarding "the sticky dash" in the V36, I replaced mine a couple of years ago.  I tried Nissan Au.,Just Jap, and Japanese suppliers.

The problem was the Nissan part number's had not been updated. So when I searched for the part number, it came up as xxxxxxxxxA or xxxxxxxxB, both are out of date.  I finally was told by a Japanese part's supplier that C was the special ingredient. Contacted my local Australian Nissan dealer, quoted the part number with C ......... 6 new V36 dashboards instock at Nissan in Melbourne. I paid $1280 including freight to Nissan Tweed Heads NSW. I fitted it myself, took plenty of photos, and took my time, the end result looks brand new again.

The best part was chopping up the old dash, and jamming in the garbage bin.

Also did the English conversion on the centre section, with Australian GPS. Cost $1.5k from Russia

  5. Hi there

I had a similar issue with my V36. The problem was worse in stop start traffic,  rough idle, revving up and them stalling. (But only sometimes) It seemed like the fuel mixture was way too rich. Did all resets, replaced most sensor's, and the throttle bodies. No change at all. No fault code's.   Someone mentioned fuel pressure regulator. (Did a pressure test, 52lb at idle) So I removed pump bucket from the tank, BINGO the FPR was badly corroded.                  The fix.....ordered the fuel line return kit from CJ Motor Sport, and fitted an under bonnet fuel regulator. Also a new fuel pump.  Problem solved.

Try YouTube  The Aussie Shed.   He shows the complete job in great detail.            Hope this helps

  6. Hi there John

Clive here,  Remember the fueling issue iI had, well, it turned out the in tank fuel regulator was faulty.

So, I did the return fuel line mod, and fitted a fuel regulator near the engine.

All fixed, no black smoke, and idles at a steady 850 RPM.

I still need to have the new injectors programed in.

I hope all is good with your toys ?

    Cheers,

    Clive

  7. Hi there

About 2 years ago I was searching for a new dash pad for my 2008 370GT ( old dash was sticky and falling apart) In Australia and Japan, either not available or over $2000 from Japan.

I did find that a new part number had been listed.

I gave the new part number to my local Nissan dealer, at South Tweed NSW.

BINGO !  5 genuine Nissan dash pads held at Nissan Vic.

One week later I picked  up the new dash from my local Nissan dealer. $1280 including freight.

I think the new part number was the same as the previous one, but finished with C

    I hope this helps.

  9. Hi Sev.

Those carbon tips are not used anymore on the new coils, They just have springs.

What you could do is clean the tips up on some sand paper and stretch the spring a bit, to make a good contact.

If that doesnt work i can send you a new set of spring ,(free) as i sell nissan RB coil packs and have some spares

Send me your address details if you need them.

    Cheers,

    Clive
