As soon as we are setup (shouldn't be long) it'll just be a case of filling out some forms and paying the money, very simple. This is how i'll be aquiring my CAMS license... Brett

When you say "track day" i'm not sure of your meaning behind that. However 6 cars are on the track at once, you get 5 laps which includes 1 warm up lap 3 hot laps and 1 cool down lap. It's not a race against each other, it's a race against the clock as there is delayed timing (same system used in the V8's) If there is something specific your wanting to know then let me know. Brett

I 'think' it's $30 (i'd have to find out exactly), other advantages is you could compete in any hill climb, any motorkhana etc

That's ok, we aren't out to pissoff the car community. We're just trying to give them an opportunity to use their vehicles in the manner that they were meant to be used, but legally.

It's the short track as the long track isn't lit up around that right hand sweeper.

I have been informed that track hire and insurance is $4000 alone just to give you some idea. I do hope everyone turns up for this event as it is looking to be a top night with the selection of cars that we have on our list. As a reminder, there will be a bbq food and cold drinks available on the night and that alcohol is not permitted... Brett

hello my name is jai and i am the organiser of this event, brett who you have been speaking to, works for me. now i have silently sat back and watched as you abuse the night that we have spent hours working on. but now i feel that it is going to far. for starters you go on like your racing? but who are you? and have i seen your money? i dont think so. the night is about people having fun and learing to race their own car around a very challenging track at night. it gives them the opertunity to see how they compare against similar cars, older cars and newer cars. they may be new to racing or have done it for years, it is unfair to call them amatuers, they are enthusiasts. i dont believe it is rude to charge an entry fee. and only $5 i might add. not $10 like the drifting. or $15 like wed night drags. 20 people DOES NOT cover costs. 30 people DOES NOT cover costs. clearly you have no idea and are clearly dreaming. people like you will sit on forums all day long and bag out events like this because you dont have the balls to stand up and participate. honestly i dont want you there with that attitude. but im more than happy to invite YOUR friends to come and watch. Regards Jai Philp

This event has all the required approval by CAMS and the likes, along with the fact that it has an ABN number due to being ran through a company. With this in place we are legally allowed to charge for spectating. If the numbers were around the 35-40 then the price would be looked at, unless you can find another 15 people in 2 days the price will still be $150. Brett

When the next night is organised i'll be putting it back up on the same 21 forums, plus more if i hear of any.

PSI - Yes indeed. Send me an email (first post) and i'll give you the deposit details.
-
ant95GTR - If it is to the CAMS specs then that wouldn't be a problem from what i can see as this is aimed at street cars which obviously wouldn't have all that gear.
-
I was away yesterday however I'll have something typed up by tomorrow morning which will outline the times etc. I'll then post it on all the forums and it will also be emailed to out entrant list.
