Just checking what's doing in the local news today:
If anyone else thinks its bull****, get on it and spread the word:

Looking for cheap hotels in Mildura and Wagga Wagga now.
I can recommend this joint: http://mildura-deakin-holiday-park.vic.big4.com.au/
I stayed the night on the way back from adelaide to orange, I parked the car+trailer beside the cabin. It's on the main road, secure and there's a bakery next door for morning munchies before going again.

Might pull the pin on this one
The hwy at bathurst is a stop/go and rain looks solid for the next 24hrs so no guarantee of getting back thru.
Drive safe!

Pencil me in as a maybe for the Katoomba bit, will call in on the morning.

The road from Goulburn to Oberon, one of the papers rated it as one of the top ten drives in nsw. There's a few rough spots but nice drive.

Question for the organisers: Is it undercover or open where the show is?

Money in + form faxed.
Looking forward to it

1989 Silhouette
I'll update the thread in the coming days with current photos and more detail but with sadness the silo has to be sold to make way for another '31.
Sale price for $6500 with a set of GTS1 wheels, other details are below:
Projector headlights - HID 5000k low beam
Jap 'GTS' grille
Autospoiler running on limit switches
Resprayed front/rear end and boot
Remote central locking with immobiliser
Remote trunk opener
Pedders lowered suspension
Custom front strut/tower bar
Whiteline front/rear sway bars
Whiteline adjustable panhard rod
New steering rack / front control arms (2006)
Stock engine/driveline
Extractors/sports exhaust
Dark window tint
50mm shortened shifter
Original immaculate interior
LED lights in front bar, license plate lights, footwell lights, door step lights and in boot area
Stereo:
Pioneer CD head unit
16cm 2way pioneer front speakers
17cm 3way pioneer rear speakers
5mm MDF rear parcel shelf with original insulation to underside and black carpet topside
I have reciepts from when I bought it and it's in excellent condition overall. For the last few years it's been a second car and sits in the garage for weeks on end. The front end (steering/suspension) was rebuilt prior to the '06 nationals and the diff was changed prior to the '08 nationals. The only visual mark on it is a scratch down the passengers side but it's been there since I've had it and would be an easy touch-up
Rego is current till about August and I'll need to keep the rego plates off it.

All going well, chalk up another '31.
I haven't been to an SAU event for years.

I was at the nats on friday and thought attendance was down on previous years. I was surprised to see no skylines (any model) on the cruise route either?
A big thanks to a white '33 who made a space for me to do a u turn in lonsdale street friday night

The skylinenationals website has some conflicting info on the home page:
The event is being held over the whole weekend, so book your holidays now, and be there. Registration is on Friday the 28th July, at the Shepparton Town Hall. Each model skyline will be covered, but it is an event in recognition of the 20th Anniversary of the only Aussie Skyline ever made, so that vehicle will be the premier attraction. We will have Skylines from the first Prince GT's to the current model R34.
Apart from all the pikers it should be a ripper, well done for organising it!
By the way did I see a keyboard data services sticker on the side of a Z in a shannons commercial?
-
And so close to the Nats not good
True that
Hey cazz, any indication on numbers yet and where's the sign-in, town hall or the showground?
-
Its hormonal..aren't you used to it yet?
Seems not. R31 Forum ->
If the limit was exceeded I thought it'd reset after 24hrs?
-
Anyone know whats going on with the R31 forum this is the second day it's been down?
-
Love the wheels but how negotiable are you and would you consider freight to NSW?
-
