  1. In reply to my crash, it was about 37km into a 40k stage, just gone though a double caution crest into a Left then Right downhill. road was quite slippery and felt the tail start to slide out, it dropped into the culvert and spun the car and the lhf climbed the bank and flipped the car. slid on the rook for a while as i think we were doing about 80km/h.

have cut the roof off and welded a new roof on it, and just need to replace the front radiator support and headlight support.

  4. yeah its a dead issue, i tried getting an answer out of him but didn't make alot of sense..

Im getting the feeling he didn't get them to replace it cause the price they wanted was ridiculous. Was probably cheaper to replace the head..lol

Maybe the thread title should be changed to WTF...My mate didnt bother getting his BT50 serviced by the log book and destroyed engine??????

  5. Thought i would post an update on how the car is going, finished the cage on the weekend and fabricated some seat mounts for it. ned step is scotchbrite the rollcage and primer it and get it inspected.

  6. Well guys, to those of you who don't know me, i used to have a R33 that we built into a full-on Tarmac car ready to run Targa and the likes. I've always had a soft spot for the gravel and in the last few years, this has been my main side of motorsport navigating in a WRX for club events and Servicing for a 2010 Spec C for state rounds/Targa etc. fast forward to last year after an unfortunate event where i put the car on it's lid, i decided to spend a bit more time and money and build something that i have wanted to for a long time... a Prodrive Legacy Rally Car in full Rothman Subaru colour. and so it began. currently it's just waiting to have the cage finished and painted and it will be good to go :-) i know it's no Nissan, but who can say no to one of the classics of rallying..

there's a couple of pic's of what it's currently looking like, and what it should hopefully turn out to look likepost-25384-0-98654000-1308816352_thumb.jpgpost-25384-0-95249200-1308816487_thumb.jpgpost-25384-0-44931500-1308816507_thumb.jpg

  7. Timmy, is Marcus going to have the IX rebuilt by the Hellyer Rally? are we ever gonna see the photo's from after the stack?

On topic, i considered putting the 33 on gravel after having it for sale for 2 months and only tyre kickers look at it. DMS 50mm uprights and the standard bumpers back on and it was going to be good to go. Unfortunatly it was the same time i rolled the Legacy, so i decided to rebuild that for gravel.

  8. I'm arriving in Lonnie saturday. Will have the customary piss up at the Olde Tudor saturday arv/evening.... and this time, Dicky Johnson is joining us :)we finally have a good 999 car.... eddie decided using other people's crap was too hard so he purchased quite a nice Emo 8, all prepped up :)

I heard it comes complete with Bibles and Holy Water.....

  9. Looking forward to the Longford Festival, should be a great lead up to targa week.

Massive thanks to Stuart for getting the Radcam's down to us the night before the safari, pretty sure you must have raced down there as soon as we messaged you :-)
