  2. Well I was trying to not spend anymore money as I had to get my engine bay engineered. Can I even do that? Get my exhaust modified to come in under 92 db without affecting performance? I'm no expert but I was under the impression that to lower the db's I had to make my exhaust more restrictive?
  3. Hey all I got canaried again by pettit and have cleared the defect but just like he did the first time he has sent me an EPA letter 2 weeks later. Does anyone have a cat back exhaust I could borrow? Happy to leave a deposit. I'm in the sth east u can text or call me on 0404602256 cheers Jason

  9. sorry man just got back home. its 10.25 bit too late. not sure what coil packs are in a series 1.5. might have to ask someone first. i was told that series ones have a module at the start of the wiring loom that can often be the problem to misfires in series ones. but series two dont have a module at the wiring loom, the modules are built into each coil pack. not sure if thats 100% true but makes sense as there as different model numbers for series one and two coil packs. cheers for the ofer though ill try find out about the series 1.5 and get back to ya. cheers
  10. ok thats cool will wait till the end of the week to see if anyone closer can help out. is urs a series 2? or series 1.5? (s1.533) not sure what the difference is but i know coil packs for series ones are different to series two. had a look at ur profile looks like a series two, not sure how things work with profiles but your 'rank' says rb25de? is urs non turbo? think there may be differences there too. but thanks for the offer will get back to you if cant find anything else.
  11. cheers mate ill keep you in mind. let us know when ur felling better.
  12. Hey guys Having misfire problems as alot of us experience when doing our cars up. need someone with a 33 series two to help me find out if my coil packs are shot or if its something else. just want to swap a working set into mine to see if it fixes the missfire. then ill know its the coil packs. but dont want to fork out the cash for new ones if it isnt the coil packs. i already have splitfires and have had trouble with them. u dont need to get ur hands dirty ill do all the work i just need someone who is willing to let me take out there coil packs. very simple 6 or 7 bolts wont take more than 10 mins to get them out. Ill come to you. anyone willing my numbers 0403679112. cheers Jason http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...62#entry4400162
  13. yeah im having this same problem too. ive had problems with splitfires though. ive had to send three back so far. had car running perfect again after sending back splitfires when i went over seas. just got back after 14months, useless brother wasnt starting it up every few days so pretty much sat there for over a year. then they started it up just before i got back and it was running terribly so took out my wolf3d and put stock ecu back in. would run ok but miss fire at 4500rpm. so i figure its another splitfire coil pack. think i may have received a dodgey batch or something considering its the 4th one to die. put the wolf back in so it ran ruff unplugged each coil to see which one made no difference. this is how i diagnosed last three times, replaced with a stock one and ran fine again. this time thought it was the 5th one, changed for stock one, runs ok at idle now but still mis fires at 4500. so put stock ecu in again but still the same. has gotten worse now sometimes doesnt even idle with stock ecu now. and can missfire anywhere through the revs as low as 2500rpm. seems to come and go with the missfire at idle but at 4500 does it everytime not sure how to solve this one. possibly two coil packs gone at same time??? wiring loom? tried to search for "how to test coil packs" but couldnt really find an answer. any suggestions? cheers
