  1. Hey GTR.Maverick, she's looking good! Looks like she's got a good home...thank you I loved this car! The guy who I sold it to (Chris) didn't have any trouble with it but were you the guy that bought it from him? I heard it had engine troubles somewhere along the way....never skipped a beat for me though. What's she got at the wheels now?
  2. Hey all, has anyone seen this r32 GTR getting around? I sold her about 7 years ago and haven't seen in her in about 5 years (hope she wasn't wrapped around a pole)
  3. Hi there, I might know of a really good R32 GTR sale. It used to be mine. Always looked after and the guy who has it now has spent more money on it and also looked after it extremely well. He rang me the other day to say he was thinking of selling it. If you're interested let me know and i'll get him to contact you. its a '92 black Body all standard and in top nick. no accidents motor is strong, has about 240 rwkw - light modifications.
  4. Walking to work the other day i saw a chick driving a maroon coloured R33 GTS-T (Hobart). I love seeing chicks driving skylines! Who is she??? I think i'm in love!
  5. For any one who is interested the new plugs fixed the problem... so in essence it was the most expensive spark plug change i have ever done! $30 a piece x 12 Thanks again! Andrew
  6. Ha! DiRTgarage, i think you're spot on! I didn't think about pulling the plugs out becuase they were so new.... a little digging round and i found that i i had forgotten to earth something... not sure what it was but i definately forgot to earth something near the ignighter. So i pulled 2 plugs out and they are both as dirty as 2 dollar (you know what) They are as black as black! Damn they were $27 iritop 7's too. I'll replace tomorrow and let you know. Cheers, Andrew.
  7. Hi all! The other day when i started my car it was more of a pig than usual when cold. I kind of fobbed it off and just thought she was having a bad morning and sure enough, got to temperature and all was fine... however every cold start after that (3 starts) it got worse and now it wont even start. I haven't done anything to it the last few months. The last thing i did do was replace the spark plugs about 1000km/s ago so doubt its anything to do with that. Anyway i have probed the ECU with NDS and i get code 55 (no errors) and i can’t for the life of me figure out what’s happened. The last time it started it wouldn't even idle, it would stall, but start straight up again. Foolishly when i got time to do some diagnosing this week i hit the reset ECU function in NDS and since then it hasn't started. Now i don’t know if that’s related or whether it wouldn't of started any way. I have checked AFM’s they seem fine, i have checked as many hoses as i can, i have checked coil packs (splitfire 2000k/m old) It gets a bit of a kick when trying to start. There is a faint smell of fuel as well. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. On another note I’m looking forward to watching the R35 GTR this weekend in Targa TAS... i'll grab a few snaps! Cheers Andrew
  8. Hi there, i have been having an issue with cold starts. From a cold start the car runs like a dog with loud induction noise splutters, just a pig. I have slowly been narrowing down possible problems and now I’m at the water temperature sensor. i went to my local automotive service branch (petro-ject) and i was given a bosch replacement part. Now i have no idea what the resistance should be but the new replacement part and the old jecs sensor read differently. Its not that i don’t trust the guy there i just want to make surre... well i guess that means i don’t trust him . So my question is does anyone know what resistance a water temperature sensor should read for an RB26 ?? Any help would be great. Cheers Andrew
  9. Hey there, Unplugged the CTS and it made no difference, if anything the car ran slightly better, not sure. I must add though that the car wasn't misbehaving this morning, that shouldn't matter though right? I will gather some logs together and submit them. Your help would be very much appreiated. Cheers, Andrew.
  10. Hi there, I'm another victim of the infamous three legged billy goat when running cold. Exactly the same symptoms and also stops immediately when hits temp or switch engine off and then restart. I have also cleaned afm's, changed plugs, checked coils also have done the injectors. I invested in a consult cable and software and nothing really stands out, you can definitely see some weird behaviour as a result, but nothing obvious malfunctioning, no strange voltage readings or faulty instruments, well ones that the software reports on. Something to add is the other day the NDS (Nissan Data Scan) registered that i had a tps (throttle position sensor) and an ias (intake air temperature sensor) error, now i cant remember which one but one of them had happened 37 times. My battery too is now sounding a bit tired and have no idea how old it is. Dying for a result on this one, been driving me crazy for months and months now. Cheers Andrew
  11. Hi there, Just bought the Nissan data scan software and interface cable to diagnose a few problems I’m having. The error codes that popped up were error 41 and error 43 of which 43 has happened 37 times. now as far as i can gather error 41 relates to AIT (air intake temperature ) and error 43 TPS (Throttle position sensor) Various queries on Google and the like don't really return any information to 1, what are either of these problems doing to my car, and 2, how to fix them Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  12. Hi all, This is a cold start issue and has some aspects which are similar to this thread "http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=158452" however i also get crazy boost issues. I never rev the car above 2.5k when cold and never boost, however i get this strange behavior (think I’ll video it) of the boost gauge fluttering and coming up to boost very quickly then letting off. The consequence of this is very rough driving and a ridiculous amount of blowing. I also get that feeling of slight hesitation but not so worried about that. Once the car has it temp these symptoms disappear. The bit that confuses me is how easily the boost climbs, like 2 x as quick, then starts fluttering, on,off,on,off but not consistently but very erratically and aggressively. This makes for lousy driving, shuddering and so forth. Its very hard for me to explain, i think I will have to youtube it but any advice or ideas would be much appreciated. Mods that may be relavent: hks gtss turbo's hks dump pipes standard bov's Cheers.
  13. Hi there, Just want to get an idea on what clutch's you guys would recommend for r32 gt-r. Just had it tuned and now got more power and existing clutch doesn't cut it. Only slips when in 3rd and 4th @ full boost but need to get it replaced. Cheers
  14. Hi all, Just got tuned by Dr Drift, now got 266rwkw. Still got standard clutch and tonight i got a taste of a slipping clutch. Jim's clutch's sound good, pretty keen to get one. I live in Tas and want to know if anyone has any suggestions who i should get to fit it (in tas), and any ideas how much the labour would be? Cheers
