R33 Gtr At Bathurst 12hour 2007
75coupe replied to gtstcruiser67's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I just want to see some serious hardcore racing in Australia... No limit, fully modified cars going at it on a good track (bathurst). I'm sick of V8 supercars, sick of Aust rally... where's the racing action these days, what competition besides targa tasmania is close...? the R32 gtrs back in what 91 or 92, that was the end of good motorsport in Australia.... Even the sierras were a good watch... Dutton rally and the likes is just too brady bunch like... -
R33 Gtr At Bathurst 12hour 2007
75coupe replied to gtstcruiser67's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I hope this thread didn't get me excited for nothin... R33 gtr at buthurst would of been perfect... I thought Targa Tasmania entrants were classified 3E tarmac rally? sounds like I'm going to be disapointed -
The silver R34 with black rims was a nur spec wasn't it...? Great images,,, keep posting....

Yep I've installed the Greddy FMIC into a S2 R33, you will need to cut the end of the chassis rail a little and the fins from the middle of the front bar... Check out images, I am going to take my front bar off again and cut the bar a bit more so I can fit in some black mesh to protect and hide the IC. oh yeah you also need to cut into the wall of the engine bay for piping. A metal hole saw does it easy I finished it off with some u channel rubber to cover the edge of the metal. And you can probably still use the stock washer bottle instead of the smaller greddy one...

Anyone tried metal polishing before... I've heard there is a polishing creme you can get or I've seen the kits are the hardware store with the cake of soap looking stuff in different colours for grade... I would love to learn this...
-
Yeah just cable tie them onto anything you can find... I reckon it could be cool but I would probably get over them pretty quick... You gotta do it though, at least to see...

Beware Of Two Suspicious Character In Silver Ef Falcon
75coupe replied to Giveitall's topic in South Australia
I think you guys are just paranoid, thinking everyone wants your car..... what a toss..... They are probably really nice people who liked your car... I think your all jumping to a bad conclusion way too soon... And you shouldn't judge people on what they drive... shit I once drive a falcon but I ain't a 'bogan'... Snoby skyliners.. -
I replaced my coils with splitfires recently. The old coils were only just starting to misfire and then only occasionally. They have not been modified or tried to be fixed using any method. 6 coils - $150 1 coil - $30 I relined my parcel shelf when installing speakers, I have some carpet left over. I got the material from an audio installer, he only sold it by the metre so I have left overs Material measures 137cm x 49cm it's black. - $15 I also have a stock R33 series 2 intercooler - $50 all items plus postage... Located on the Central Coast

Genuine Rb25 Greddy Inlet Plenum
75coupe replied to PHaT MR30's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Yep, how much for the plenum...? -
The guy in Geelong selling these on ebay even says he has done before and after dyno runs with a 14kw increase with 28nm increase in torque... For $300 I reckon it would be a pretty good upgrade just to clean up the engine bay a bit..... get rid of the intercooler piping, clear access to spark plugs, get rid of cross over pipe and relocate rubber hoses... Can you get cast aluminium smoothed and polished ok?

R33 Demo Car Build Up (im Selling My Skyline)
75coupe replied to Silent's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Love the trust front bar.... I was pondering whether to get it for mine.... Now I know it can look great... What side skirts are they though.... do-luck? it's lookin good.... it's great to see work being done to a high level of finish rather than the quick hack jobs I see way too often.... -
Are you guys serious about graphics on the front and back windscreens being illegal. I've got pratically my entire rear windscreen filled with a vinyl graphic (it is advertising of sorts haha), I thought it was okay to fill your rear windscreen as long as you have wing mirrors.... Thats why utes can carry loads in the back and trucks as well and that blocks your vision. As well as some sign companies are offering rear windscreen one way vision that cover the whole window. It being illegal sounds like crap to me... When I worked in the sign industry we fill peoples rear windows heaps... Well I haven't been hassled yet, I'm off to summernats in it so lets see what happens.... Hmmmm I was pulled over a couple of weeks ago and they didn't say anything, except told me my car was blury....

How To Get Some Induction Noise?
75coupe replied to sillylankan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I just finshed putting the stock airbox and stock bov back on mine, the noise just got annoying and in fact I like the sound it has now, its loud enough with a 3.5"all the way through... I think my driving car is loud enough -
Do you really think it will be that bad to have a skyline (crazy graphics all over it) in the car park. Being ACT peoples you would probably know best. I haven't taken an import to nats before... Maybe I'll catch a bus from the room.... Any good places to 'cruise' around ACT for some action....

Can Someone Fortell Turbo Performance
75coupe replied to 75coupe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for that, it was off a drag car so I kinda expected it to be too big... -

Geez, 500 - 600ks from a tank thats something I would never imagined in my r33... I did a test driving like a granny shifting always through one tank at 3500rpm and aonly got 375ks and that was really trying... I;m running pfc and 3.5in zorst... the rest is pretty stock... Maybe I should get it tuned again.. I've asked three different shops to retune and they all say nah I wouldn't retune it its pretty damn right on... maybe I'm just a lead foot and don't realise or my tacho is lying...

cool, is that the nismo logo there imitating the LMs.. I did that too , to my sparco NTs coated black at least $1100 worth, easily after a machine and powdercoat

Summernats is a must.... White top, white top, white top.... been practising the chants... If you don't know what that means, you will when you walk the cruise route... Keep a look out for a red commodore ute at the dyno, they are hoping to crack 2000hp street car... 383 stroker twin turbo.... the kind of turbos that suck small animals in... I didn't see any defect lines the last two years but then again I didn't drive the skyline, maybe I won't this year either.... At night there are huge enormous lines of modified imports lining every street in the metro area, people set up deck chairs and campsites on the street to watch the parade... The showground is for the muscle the streets are for the imports and anyone who has a modified car... They seem to hang around industrial estates as well for some reason.... God I love summernats.... car heaven

Carbon Fibre Heat Sheild
75coupe replied to doof's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
pics please to [email protected]..... why are you getting rid of it? -
I've been looking for these for some time now, they're great, it finish my silver S2 with black, grey and white graphics just nicely, it's the last bit of colour left to get rid of... Hope group buy can happen... meanwhile I'll watch jap auctions...
-
I am designing graphics for all types of cars, especially jap imports... And once a design is bought from me I will never sell that design again, this will ensure peoplehave unique graphics on their car Metal-Ink 0418 332 551
