Mine haven't arrived yet - got a long way to come though!
-
Thanks again - great response - really appreciate it. Terminal - if I can't find a solution quick I'll talk to you about your set - won't hurt to have some spares anyway! I'll let you know what turns up.
-
cheers for the info guys - I only need the driver's side corner lens - the bit on the tail gate is fine - if anyone hears of spare ones going - let me know if possible - I'll stick with the series 1 - be a lot cheaper I think. thanks again
-
Hi - someone has damaged my lovely stag whilst parked outside my house! As well as modifying the driver's side body work, they smashed the corner tail light. How available are these parts - I'm in the UK? Any idea how much they cost? Are the series 1 & 2 interchangeable? cheers John

Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
Hum@nzee replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
A couple of pictures of mine at a local skyline owners meet - there was a nice S15 there too - mine was the only car there with unicorns - still a very rare sight in the UK - also notice the sunshine! AND yes I know mine needs dropping by about a foot too! Before you guys mention it - it's on the list -
Wil These Fit? I Think They Will - I Think?
Hum@nzee replied to Hum@nzee's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
No mate - sorry started a new thread after I fitted them. Very happy with them - just need to get it dropped a couple of inches now. -
matt black - Hmmmmm nasty
-
Cheers mate - can't take any credit really - I just nod and agree with some suggestions - the guys at Weston performance are boffins and the bloke who worked on mine has some kind of fetish for Nissan engines - he loves them! they are going to quote me for a front mounted intercooler and some cold air ducting for the intake to bring the temperatures right down - and allow for a bit more boost... where's my wallet?
-
-
Yep - I asked the workshop manager if they had connections in OZ and he said no - but he only uses the best stuff he can get his hands on so there you go! He designed the dyno cell around the Dyno Dynamics kit and it is an impressive set up. Graph to follow! John
-
Just got back from the tuning place near me (www.westonperformance.co.uk) (notice they use Australian gear!) and I'm smiling like a cheshire cat! Never had a car on a rolling road before - exciting stuff - your own car inches away doing 120 mph and going nowhere. Anyway I had a de-cat pipe dropped in, a Turbosmart eBoost 2 controller and a session in their DynoDynamics four wheel cell. Max at the flywheel was 257.3 hp - then he dropped it a bit and set it at 256 hp dead. Don't know how that sounds to you guys, but bejesus it feels damn good!!! When I've scanned it I'll put the graph up. hmmm - intercooler next I think - and then........ Cheers John

Which Wheels For The Stagea

I'g get the GTR's refurbed matt black - mean as hell! -
De-locking is quite a common mod on cars in Britain - it removes a degree of temptation from dumb kids with screwdrivers and so on. My drivers door handle has a nick in it where someone obviously had a quick go at it (before I owned it) so I was considering replacing it as part of the exterior tidy-up job. They guy I was discussing it with suggested getting rears for the front as an easy way of de-locking at the same time. Sad that you have to think about these things but that's the way things are unfortunately. I am currently selling my old car - a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Ltd SE - just got it ready to sell, spotless, serviced etc - woke up to find some w***** had broke in and pinched the stereo - taking half the bloody dash with it! I would rather they had come to the door and asked for the stereo - it would have been less painfull to just hand the thing over! (Then I would have chased him in the jeep and run him over ) Anyway that's why I asked the question - so do we think they will fit and blank off the locks? cheers John
-
someone suggested I try and source a set of rear door handles to replace the front ones. they do look the same but are they exactly? anyone done this (sorry if you have - I didn't check the threads first!)
-
still got to spray the centre caps matt black - the silver won't look right and it needs dropping a few inches now for sure. which springs and by how much do you reckon? spot the UK weather?

Wil These Fit? I Think They Will - I Think?
Hum@nzee replied to Hum@nzee's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
we'll soon see if they fit - ordered them - the guy seemed very reasonable and they are fairly local to me - said he was confident that they would fit and that provided I hadn't buggered them up in anyway he'd have them back and sort me something else. fingers crossed - should have some tasty pictures with 'em on my wagon next week - if you don't here from me for a week or two you'll know it went tits up! -
Wil These Fit? I Think They Will - I Think?
Hum@nzee replied to Hum@nzee's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
thanks guys - basically if they fit without causing any problems I'll go for them and the toyos because they're a package deal that looks like good value - full set with locking nuts and new nuts mounted and balanced for less than £700 - seems good - just wanted to be confident that they wouldn't rub and clear the standard brakes. sounds like they will so might go for it - keep suggestions coming if you have wisdom to pass on - much appreciated qikstagea - car is dark blue at the moment - but I'm gonna go for either a gun metal or a brighter mica type blue - either should go well with the wheels anyway (says the art teacher ) -
I'm considering buying these wheels for my series 1 1997 stagea - I'm pretty confident that they'll fit after looking at the posts on here - but just want some of you guys to give me an opinion - please do I think the 225/40x18 toyos will give me a fairly close to original rolling radius too I think? 18" REDLINE 5 X 114 ALLOY WHEELS MATT BLACK + TOYO T1S A SET OF 4 - 7.5 X 18 REDLINE (INOVITE) NEW ALLOY WHEELS PCD OF 5 X 114 WITH AN OFF SET OF 38MM 215/35X18 OR 225/40X18 TOYO T1S TYRES cheers

found it - saved it - nice one

It was one of the little red number 10 fuses under the dash below the steering wheel and to the right - about three in from the one end. A mate who's an auto electrician looked for 10 mins and job done. I didn't even ask him I was jumping around because it was fixed!
-
panic over - it was a blown fuse!! very happy!
-
Hi - I just drove home from work at about 35 MPH, guessing the speed because something has blown. Got no speedo, rev counter, temp guage, clock or trip odo, and when I put my foot down the thing dies to nothing, like a rev limiter or something - I hope its nothing serious - any ideas. The motor seems to be running fine, but when you push the revs it drops to tick over and then picks up and does this repeatedly untill you ease off the pedal! Help please! John

Hello - I'm in the UK too - strange that we're talking via Australia! - Still - car looks nice mate - mine's an RS Four V - P reg - very standard, no wing or body kit and the paintwork is tatty but I'm planning a re-spray as soon as funds allow. Which skyline forum are you on in the UK? Good too talk to other owners definitely - and these guys are extremely helpful (shame they’re such a bloody long way away!)
-
Hello - I've been searching for some replacement dial faces for my RS Four V - trouble is I'm in the UK - no joy - someone sent me a link to this forum and I'd love to get hold of a complete bezel - white dials with the metal facia - looks stunning. my speedo face is a complete mess - glue all over the place (not my doing) what's the chance of getting a unit shipped to me in England? Obviously I'm prepared to pay - just can't get hold of anything over here. cheers John

Hello From The Uk - Any Advice Welcome!
Hum@nzee replied to Hum@nzee's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Thanks to all of you for the responses - I love those big rims - definitely added 18 or 19 inchers to my list. I've only been driving it for 4 days but the steering and throttle response puts a huge grin on my face every time! The engine seems as sweet as a nut and apart from the wish list already mentioned my to do list is purely cosmetic. I mentioned the wind deflectors and I'm considering taking them off as they are cracked and coming away from the body - if anyone knows if there will be problems with keeping them off then that would be good to know. Also the place I got it from converted the speedo by adding a gizmo on the back of the dial that slows the needle down. They then added an 'MPH' label over the KPH, and splodged glue around the face too. Legal but crap looking! I was wondering if the instrument pod was also the same as that in the saloon GTS or GTR - or if you knew of any replacement parts or dial faces available. The other thing is the tint film on the back window is scratched like its been cleaned with an abrasive cloth - so I was thinking of getting someone out to re-tint the tail gate - again if anyone else has had this done or thinks its a bad idea for some reason then let me know. Thanks again and please keep the advice coming!
