  2. Any update on the momo tyres?

How many k's you've done on them?

    Has the rubber changed? Hardened?

going by my first post, it's been over a year now with these up front. they have not hardened or developed any inconsistency.

not sure of kms. i'll guess at 8-10k.

still grippy. suprisingly not much wear, and wearing evenly.

i'm really pleased with the tyres. i highly recommend them.

i will be getting these again. there is nothing close in this price range, and probably nothing for double the price too.

  3. IMO Shannons SUCK!.

I was with Shannons for ages, but found them to be pretty crap when it came time for them to do their job.

Accident repair. Not at fault. The faulty party admitted blame and their insurance accepted costs.

Shannons assessor was a total pain in the ass. Was not flexible on anything, was extremely tight down to the dollar.

Even to the point where a damaged tyre would not be replaced, but rather they would contribute only the % value of the remaining tread. ie they would only contribute 50% of the value of a tyre that has 50% tread.

But they happily charge me 100% of the fkn premium every year.!!!

I had multiple arguments with them over this and other matters, to no avail. My repairer, who i know, told me they are one of the worst to deal with.

In the end I forked out extra cash to the repairer to get the job done the way I wanted.

Now I'm with Lumley SV. Agreed value. Lower premiums. All modifications are noted in the policy.

  4. I have an Android / WinCE head unit with front and rear RCA outputs.

The problem is the Android side of things only seems to output to the front RCA's (FL+FR).

(i can only select - left - right - two - off - for the android os sound output in the unit's main options)

The (crappy) WinCE side uses front and rear RCA's.

This goes for the normal speaker wires too.

Obviously I want to play music and media through the Android OS and utilize the dozens of awesome players and equalizers.

Plus this incarnation of WinCE looks and works like ass.

So I figured I only have one option.

Split the Front L RCA into 2 (Front L + Rear L into amp) and the Front R RCA into 2 (Front R + Rear R into amp).

I figure as long as left and right are separate, i can adjust fader (gain) at the amp. And freq for fronts at the amp too.

Will the sound quality, signal, etc suffer by using this method?

    Is this a no-no?
