    Anywawys i figured i'd settle for the D-J price wise for PFC and AFM's Turns out to be the same as PFC D-J with all necessary parts. Kinda stupid to not go to it isn't? Nengun getting the new ones with EL hand controllers cheap. AFMs So $$..

  2. if you go normal power fc and hold your power around 330kws you should be able to get away with standard afms

    but if you wanna up your power later you will need to upgrade your afms either nismos or z32 afms

    nismos = $800-900 most tuners i spoke to prefer tunning with these

    z32 afms =$400-500 for the pair

    taken all that in to consideration maybe your better off buying a djetro to start with to save a bit of coin if your planning on upping your power in the future.

    or many other ecu options vipec, link, wolf ect..

    AD4M So what your pretty much saying is @ above 20psi the rb25AFM's are useless? If this is true yes i need z32's. So is the above true for price wise as ive search the rated power for both z32 comes out with more HP capability. Nismo is more $$ because its "NISMO"?? I don't have a mental amount of stashed money in my backyard or anywhere for that matter as some people do lol. Cause I do plan on getting alot of "reliability" mods to go with just a tad later after the turbos so i don't blow the thing up.

    we recenty put some 2860-5's on a bog stock 32gtr. 298kw @ 19psi. very drivable. comes on nicley from 3ish and buy just over 4k it all on hard.

    Nice, so would you say that is safe for daily? and is around 20psi safe for the internals? Plan on internals sooner then later if it isn't ><. haha making me drool for these 2860's =D~

    Where you at Perth? Yeh I wanna give these ago first before i use the nismos.. If theres nothing wrong with these why not settle for the cheaper one... Still genuine NISSAN... Quality stuff.

    And if you're intent on pulling the motor apart RB30 will work out much cheaper than any stroker kit.

    Yeh that is true... And would give more displacement then the 2.7L... Nice thanx haha... Forgot abt that one.

  4. Alright thanks guys. And no im like any average guy not that much $$ wouldn't be a problem if i had alot haha T51R! 3L stroker... yep theres one out there =D... But yeah you guys been a good help to my decision. And it is to keep the twins. Instead of getting one big turbo ill work the engine for reliability and cooling (forged/lightweight). And I WAS sure before going to Hyperdrive that they could get around that power mark, just got a bit confused when he look at me weird and just shook his head. O_o like wtf?? Oh you guys reckon D-J or just normal FC for the 2860's?? Is fine to stay with just normal? sourcing can be abit of a pain for DJ thats why.

  5. Thanx for the assurance. Well i'm look at around maybe the 400-500hp mark but alos a responsive turbo Maybe a bit of track down the road. Ok so my first choice was the gt-ss or 2860's and andrew said straight out no... won't give you that much power and not worth it. So he said go the gt35r. Cause it does produce the power around what i initially wanted also not too laggy. But now that I think of it bolt on twins would be better for the $$ and easier too just not producing that much more HP. What do you guys think?

    as usual a fellow member comes to SAU for the expertise and the experience of the community specialising in the almighty SKYLINE =D~, hope you guys can help.

    Got a 34GTR Vpsec here in WA. My plans are to go to a single GT35R, went to hyperdrive in Malaga (if anyone in Perth here please let me know if they are good/trusted) recommended me this. Before I go ahead with the conversion want to know about the V-band turbo (who does the good downpipes etc. for the exhaust side of things) and if thats what i should get the the 4 bolt housing etc. Also I will be disecting the engine first to replace pretty much most of the internals to extend its mortal life. Read a few articles saying CP would be best ?? Not sure... Or should i just go straight the the 2.8 Stroker kit which comes with everything thus improving displacement/power/torque. What other necessities do i need for this uprgrade. I know of fuel pump, injectors, fuel rail (maybe), water pump and oil pump.

  7. hrmm... scary... well i drove it and hurted her abit =\ for the first day JUST incase anything was gunna break if i did hurt it abit before freight to perth and after that it still seemed ok.. no tappy noises drive is smooth everything seemed like its in working order i guess.. Maybe i shoulda spent a bit more time checking the car out =[. Mxfly did u notice a small dent on the rear quater panel of the right hand side?? I noticed it and I asked what happened here but this was after i purchased it, they're response was... I didn't even know. So i jsut couldn't be bothered waiting and just said don't worry about it... being impatient kills. But then again I might not come by this very often and it is my last sports car... Talk about small mods, the simple mods are a definite, indicators and clutch sounds like a good idea... Like the feel of a immediate engagement. and u got 13.2 ?? nicee

  8. R32 GTR's (and R33's I think?) ran 13.7 secs down the 1/4 mile

    R34 GTR's should do the same if not abit better. They got abit more torque and a overall refinement.

Fork out everything you've got for one if you have to... I kinda did lol... One thing you guys need to do is experience a RB26 boosting up to the 8500 rev limit... You'll love it. Can't wait for the next cruise =]. Oh, any of you guys know how to work the japanese tv screen??

  9. Thanks for the input (00)SKYLINE(00) and Terry_GT-R34, yeh would sound like a good idea to get everything replaced and prepped just like a new car for starters hey. Yeh its a '99 model, and I love the white so this car was actually perfect when i was chasing one... As my last car was white too :). It's goin to mainly be a street car, but will see the light of track once in a while... Want this car "mines" style. Acceleration is just psycho on that car... Btw people with gtr's how much stock quater mile :D ?

  10. Had R34 GT N/A for 2 years and thought i'd had enuff of driving other people's turbo car and wanted to achieve wat was not meant to be achieved... (by me anyways) So I went on a Journey from Perth to Sydney on a pursuit for my dream car... Now i know why it was my dream car in the first place... Anyways guys Just here to share the passion of the this beautifully engineered car: sexy, fat and a beast of an engine (specially launch) =]~~~ But also to get peoples with 34 gtr's if they can tell what experience they've had with theirs and what i should look out for. Thanks! :thumbsup:
