  1. We can go somewhere interesting if you like but I'm not keen to take my car to Terrigal and get defected, you have no idea what the cops are like down on the coast.

We can go up the beach after lunch to the lookout and get some photos or something.

    JUST AN IDEA GUYS..........

If you want to drive down to the carpark at Bateau Bay then have some lunch from any of the places over the road there (macca's, red rooter - whateva!) then go somewhere for pics, there is Crackneck Lookout at Bateau Bay - will accomodate approx 40-50 cars and has either bush or ocean backdrop OR there's the carpark under Brian McGowan Bridge in Gosford which is on the water (same again, plenty of room) OR The Entrance (prolly a bit busy there???) OR the carpark along the waterfront down Pt Clare/Tascott way OR the Rotary Club carpark at Toukley beside the bridge..........

There should be a few of us coasties tagging along who know where all these places are and can lead the way..... The defect station has been moved from Terrigal now but it's pretty busy out there w/ends (especially now the weather is warming up) and parking is a nightmare at the best of times let alone when there's a big group.

  2. I'm insured with VIGIL (98 R33 GTS-T with lots of mods) - I get 24/7 road side assistance, am covered on track days and got an agreed value. Premium was $1200 with full NCB and excess is only $500 and I pay by the month with no penalties.

My other half is insured with TORQUE (97 R33 GTS-T with mods) - his is insured for business use coz he uses it for work, no road side assistance and not covered on track but premium was around the same, $1200 with full NCB (one prev acco and a couple of tickets in the past) Excess is $600 and he also has agreed value.

Neither of us has had to make a claim to date (touch wood!) so can't vouch for them there yet but pretty happy with the premiums and excesses. We are both 30yrs+.

For the younger crowd - I've heard of a company called "young and fun" or similar... mixed reports tho, some people say they're crap but others have said they're great - can't comment myself but worth the call to find out I 'spose.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I will come along to this one. It has been ages since I have been on a cruise. The other half will bring her car along to, so count JEV666 and KAI53Y in for the day.

OMG!!! KAI53Y is the black 34 BR3TT took a pic of at Wesfield Tuggerah and posted on cc thread!!!

    My plate is KA53YS !!! I'm a white R33!

    SHAZZAMMM!!! he he he!!!

  4. sounds interesting - do you have any photos of the course?

GTsauRus posted a couple of car pics from last years hill climb on the central coast thread if you wanna check them out... there's a group of us coasties heading up there to watch the action if anyone is interested in hooking up along the way and joining us??? Buladelah is about 1.5-2hrs from the coast so prolly another 30-45mins from Hornsby...

  5. Sunday - spotted black 32 (chick driving) on Pac Hwy Nth Wyong - she was talking on the phone and didn't see me wave.

Passed a white 34 (gtr???) on Pac Hwy Nth Wyong nr the golf club - got a wave back - hello whoever you are!

Saw a silver 33 cruisin thru the Westies carpark at Tuggerah.

Today - saw COASTLIFE at skankhaven thismorning.

    Go the coasties! :P

  6. Hmm I thought that white r33 would of been my dad maybe. But he told me he didn't take the line out today.

I wondered if it might be your dad but then he looked too old..... he looked to be in his early to mid 50's?

Very tidy looking car - ugly povo rear wing!!! Eeeeeeowwwww!!! I hate those factory wings!!!

  7. Hey c'towners,

Does anybody know the best way to remove vinyls from car bodies???

Please pm me if you know how, as i want mine removed, its annoying me

All of the above works but if you have any residue left on the car or you find the vinyl stickers are old and are coming of in very annoying little pieces then go to your local panel beater/spray painter (someone you trust) and ask them if they have a "caramel wheel" - it's a rubber drill attachment and smells like caramel but gets your vinyl stickers off really quick and safely! I have a friend who's a spray painter and he removed mine and you can't see where the stickers were at all..... good luck!

  8. :D:(

Spotted a silver series 1 GTST today at Toukley.

Gave a wave, got a death stare.

Spotted a silver GTS-T thismorning about 6.30 am on Sparks Rd >>> Toukley, waved but got a death stare in return... could it be the same one??? AR**** ????? something like that...

Also spotted a white 33 with factory wing in Westies c/p today - older sort of bloke driving it (in his 50's maybe???) - smiled at him but only got a blank stare in return... MV360 ??? or similar! :(

  9. I have one too! White, 2/98 - I have a NISMO front bar though... Does anyone have a pic they can send me of the seats, mine were taken out and replaced with D1 seats - can you believe they threw the originals out??? WTF?! I have standard seats now (gave the D1's to my other half!) Have the badges on the C pillar, don't know of any other diferences... :)
