In the fuse box under the bonnett there are some relays im not exactly 100% if the correct one is there but there will be a relay controlling your lights, dash etc. its prolly burnt out. these are the big square plug on things under there. check that one of them doesnt look corroded. if it looks all burnt n stuffed find one the same. i think i used air con once before as its not as important and plug it in and see if it works. i think there is also some realays where the ecu is in the passenger footwell to the left near the door. open the panel and have a look also but i bet u its under the bonnet. ill be able to check for you later today when i go to my garage down south to see if i can trace it for you. it wont be a fuse though. it will be a square thing n it will probably have written on it things like n.c, c, n.o and xxx amount of AMPS its rated to. i think the biggest problem is that all descriptions are in japanese. maybe google it as well.   2. all the good brake pads squeel because they are eating the disks. ur pads will always squeel its just that by roughing them up u change the sound frequency so that the human ear cant hear it. my brakes squeel a bit. just say what i say. "its race."
  3. hey mate whats involved in putting this into a r33 gtst series 1. im lookin for a new motor for mine as mines stuffed. is it a bolt in or is it completely different?
  4. just have for sale a full set of ROH Shift R wheels. these are a multistud 4 fitment which therefore dont fit skylines. they are great looking and high quality for a everyday car or modified car. for pictures and list of cars they fit go to www.roh.com.au and look in fitment section. they also come with the studs and almost brand new tires which are maxxis. for more details please reply here. if you want fotos of them i can send out. there is only slight scratches around edge of one wheels where i clipped it on a roundabout that was to big. im asking $500 for them as the rubber is like new and the original cost for $2000. this is Negotiable but i cant give them away. Hey everyone. just wondering if somebody knows of a product or a mod that u can get done in sydney to get the boot to hold up with more weight by changing the gas strut or getting it to open differently. basically i installed all my sound system amplifiers to the top of the boot-lid. its a really good job now that its all been done so carefully but just this one last obstical. it is rather heavy so it need to be rather strong whatever it is. even if you can maybe get the boot to open just a bit more so it sits just past horizontal. is there any other things out there?   6. is there somewhere that tells you all the seats that are ADR approved. how will a policeman know if they are adr approved? are seats like sparco, bride, recaro all approved? im looking at reclinable as well. Cheers
  7. hi everyone. tried searching this but no luck. just wondering if there are any complications with aftermarket seats in a r33 gtst. im looking at either bride, sparco or recaro. havnt decided yet. also does anyone know of a good place to purchase these items with seat rails also. or can u usually mod the standard rails. obviously the seat needs to be secure or the cops wont like it but does anyone usually get defected for it. cheers guys.
  8. grounding is always the problem here. it is caused from the wrong resistance termination on a end of line. for example i have no issues running cd or radio tuner. however i have a AUX which goes to a stereo lead so i can plug in ipods, phones etc to listen to music. because this line doesnt have a EOL resistance on it it humms with the alternator due to incorrect ground loop. easiest way to fix is u can get filters from a audio shop which u put at the speaker to filter out noise on ur grounding wire. just cut ur negative wire at the speaker and put it in just before the speaker. a capacitor would probably work as well assuming its big enough and doesnt explode. safer to get a proper kit from somewhere like jaycar.

  10. Hi not sure if im in the right section but here goes. im after a roll cage for a 1994 R33 gtst that is street legal. i understand its fine as long as it doesnt come into the front section of the car and back seat is out. etc. where can i get something like this? Open to all ideas. Cheers

  12. if you take it somewhere to get looked at. make sure they actually look at it. i found loads of people said my turbo seals wear blown. i changed the turbo have same issue still. now turns out due to my own testing i have either a smashed or worn piston ring. causing blow by. fills up intercooler then gets pushed up to the intake area and out the BOV when u give it a bit. compression test it before they say its ur turbo neways.

  15. ye i think turbos start making strange noises under load when they get a bit hammered and are having issues. what turbo is it stock?
  16. hi peoples. i just wanted to ask someone here from there own experiance what the engines are like from sss automotive. im looking at a rb25DET to replace my current one. i take it for 2800 or so you get a stock engine. are they a rebuilt engine or straight out of a car with nothing done to them. can somebody give me some information on them Cheers Callum

  18. well i think it depends on whether u have it re-circulating back into the sump or not. mine is just a can that catchs it before going to the inlet pipe. what happens if u plumb it so it goes to the sump again. i think there is a pipe u can split n put a t piece on. would this screw up ur pressure though. also i was doing some more testing in the wet today just doing some sideways stuff to see what would happen n the motor was cutting in and out on me. does this sound like maybe a ignition problem rather than a oil thing? coil packs? i dont want some retard going on about performance plug packs from splitfire because i dont understand how some little company thinks they can do it way better than nissan can. whats the purpose for changing these coils. is it simply because they are way cheaper and still offer a good run? can somebody tell me if this is the usual symptoms of my motor cutting in and out at high rpm. it will cut out then instantly start again.   19. ye well thats the wierd thing it still runs like its a demon from hell. it is still a very fast car and has been like this for ages now probably about 5-6 months. strange
  20. ye the install is as follows. if u look at motor from front of car u have left and right rocker covers. the input to the can is taken from the breather coming out the top hole on the right rocker cover and then goes throught the tank and back out where it used to be installed. can somebody tell me if this is correct if not give me a step by step listing and pics if possible on how to do it. cheers Yes was using alot of oil before but it was just filling up the intercooler. Was burning oil but not at the moment as its catching in the can. but fills up rather quike Oil Pressure is fine according to the gauge. Cheers
  21. ok i got my catch can from just jap the other night. installed it today n went for a small hard drive just on low boost. n its already filled it up to about a little over half full. prolly about 500mL. sound like screwed piston rings to you blokes. also i have an issue sometimes where while im driving the car will just cut out n eventually it comes back alive. this seams to happen when going for a hit but i got a guy to follow me n when it happens no smoke comes out the pipe or anything. Any ideas. Cheers
  22. dont do it red man. with red n white wheels u will have loads of kids lining up on the streets in december with a sock for you to put there presents in. (yes u will look like santa clause) Honestly im not much into bright greens, reds etc. i have a white 33 myself. most important thing i spose is get a colour u are happy with. isnt there someone on here who is a artist on something like paintshop pro who can colour his car so he gets a preview. thats the best way to do it. white wheels does make it hard though. maybe a smokey gray or something would look cool or if you want something bright that really stands out maybe a yellow. somewhere around there can look good on white wheels. look forward to seeing it.   23. depends if its the water line or the oil line. there is like 2 copper crush washers. so if one isnt crushed and sealing correctly it will leak the appropriate fluid. they say to change them after a turbo swap in most stores. i re-used mine n i have never had a problem. but maybe urs are a little stuffed. i went to randwick nissan to get that kind of stuff n they usually are helpful but i have a guy that gets all my shit. but u can try getting it there direct. if ur in sydney that is.   24. where is a good place to start looking that usually has these motors in stock? are they rebuilt, or are they just from any old place and condition unknown. is there a place u would reccommend with a good reputation around sydney. Cheers for your help
  25. hmm where would be a good place to get something custom made up i dont want anything stupidly fancy like a hydrolic boot where i press a button n it opens itself i just want to be able to lift it. also if i can get a longer shock can the boot fold back further than the standard setting position it sits at when in the full open position.
